  1. Thank you Chris. That's what I was looking for. David. TRIAL 2 LIVE---LIVE 2 TRIAL
  2. Hello. Can anyone help me with learning front wheel hops please. I can do 7 but that's just luck getting the right balance to do that 7. How do you control the balance while up on the front wheel. Do I adjust my body position to keep balanced or do I adjust the bike to keep it under me (i.e. while hoping , if I'm going too far over the front, hop the wheel further out infront of me?) Thank you. David
  3. Hiya. My neighbours are complaining about the noise my back brake is making when I'm out practicing. I can see where they're coming from. My local practice area is a concrete jungle and is surounded by high flats and the squeak from my brake echos really badly. My set up is. 33 maggy, heatsink CNCed backings with Coust pads on a medium grind. Brilliant brake but what a racket it makes. I understand where the noise is coming from (the pads vibrating against the rim) and I've tried adjusting the pads angle, which does work but that affects brake performance. Could anyone tell me if there's another way of quieting it down a bit please. David. Aberdeen trial to live--live to trial Trialist don't die. They just Drop-off
  4. Bought a set of these this week. They're very good. http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=665
  5. Ditto. I really want to too. Aberdeen is still snowed in and it looks like it's going to be here for a while yet. Snow Snow go away, and never come back!!!!!!!!
  6. Hiya. Has anyone swapped there mono trial mini lever for the new tech lever? Tarty bikes I'm wandering if the new tech lever gives as good a brake as the mini lever Thank you David
  7. Dito Select Bikes have been very good to me too. There's also www.trialsman.co.uk , I've had no problems from them either.
  8. How about converting your drive, to the same set up as a Mod uses? That's what I've done to my Stock. Best thing I ever did. I now have 108 engagement points, Brilliant!!! Plus I have much more ground clearance and using Trialtechs titanium half bashring fitted to the bottom bracket works a treat
  9. Try setting it up again. Make sure the pads draw into the middle of the caliper when the lever is pulled, then. Put the caliper onto the disc in the right place and pull the lever to clamp the caliper against the disc and cable tie the lever to your bars to lock the caliper in place. Then, spend a bit of time getting the exact right spacers to fit between the caliper and the brake mount on the forks/frame. Fit them and tightened the bolts up. It took me a few attempts to get it mine right, it needed different sized spacers for the top and bottom bolts, to get it to sit in the right place after it was tightened up. But I'm glad I took my time to got it right, I pretty much just have to lean my finger againt the lever and it locks the front wheel SOLID! HOPE RULES! Trial to Live---Live to Trial
  10. Czar 26" 07 from Select bikes, simply because it's got a built in brake booster, that's important. Check out the link. http://www.selectbikes.com/index.php?act=v...p;productId=201
  11. Easy! Brake = 33 maggy, with heatsink CNCed yellow blocks. Tyre = Dual ply Maxxis Minion. And for a wee bit extra grip from it, de-ramp the blocks with a scalpel. That is what I run on my stock and I'm very very happy with it, neither of them have ever let me down. Trial to Live - Live to Trial
  12. Thank you very much TRIAL 2 LIVE --- LIVE 2 TRIAL The granite city ROCKS!
  13. Hiya fellow trialist I'm fed up getting sore hands from the grips I'm using at the moment (ELEMENT lock-ons) So I've ordered a set of trialtech foams from Tarty but I'm wandering whats the best glue to hold them on, without them moving ever. Tarty recomend 3M spray or Hobbycraft Repositionable Spray Adhesive. but there is heaps of different kinds of both sprays. Could anyone let me know, what is exactly the best stuff to use? Thank you David
  14. Yello Trialists One of the maggy mounts needs helicoiling. But the kit I bought, which is made by KRINO Italy/V-COIL doesn't make a good job. Before I do my frame, I've experimented on a bit of spare aluminium and I'm not impressed with how it's turned out. When I screw in a new bolt into the helicoil, the bolt is slack. The play in it could be taken up with thread take but I'd rather take this kit back to the shop I bought it from and buy a kit that works better Could anyone please give me advise on a make of helicoiling kit that works well? Thank you Trial to Live--Live to Trial
  15. Hiya trialists I ride stock but I fancy a mod aswell & I know where there is a brand new but never used 05 Onza T-bird, that the guy doesn't want. Could anyone let me know how much is worth please? I think I might be able to get it for about £100, (maybe less) how does that sound? It's the one with 33 maggies front & back. Thank you Eyes.
