  1. Ive dealt with Halfords, They were a bunch of idiots (at the branch I went to) Don't buy from them, Somebody on this forum will have what you are looking for, I would buy from here in confidence. I hate Halfords with a passion. and yes this is a completely biased opinion on personal experience Actually I rephrase my last comment they are not idiots.......they are f**king idiots.
  2. Well after watching that the question I ask is how the hell does he do most of it, What a video and what a rider. I loved it
  3. O.k An update for you all, Stairs. I have found that if I find some steps, 2 for an example I have found get on the back wheel head to the spot, if you bottle or it all starts going wrong, ride down them, I moved up to 3 then 4 not at 5 yet but I now find a small drop is a walk in the park, And as in previous posts its all about visualizing what will happen, soon as the darkness pops in dont try it ride away. Be confident you can do it and it all starts dropping into place, up to now its all good. Many thanks for the response And the advice Im on the mend and its because of you lot. THANKYOU
  4. Hi, As the title states I have lost my bottle, I am, what is known as an old fart (38) I took up riding trials after watching it on you tube about a 18 months ago. I became quite proficient on my bike in a year. I ride with younger and better riders and I used to have ago at what they were doing, within reason, but I have failed big time and had some proper get offs which hurt like f**k, The by product of this is that I have completely lost my bottle and its driving me mad. Its got to the point now, that any drop over 2 foot my riding goes to tatters. I can go up stuff, but I cannot drop off again. I have started back at the basics just dropping off a couple of pallets then 3, put on the 4th and I am done. Is it my old age and the fear of get bashed up again, self preservation taking over. I am sure I am not the only rider to have suffered from this and I am not giving up riding. Im gonna ride for as long as I draw breath but I need to cross this barrier and any advice or ideas would be great. Come on people help me out.
  5. Sorry to pull you up on your spelling but ROB is actually spelt BORROW
  6. Ok here comes my view. 1/ If you are going out tooled up a pen knife wont cut the mustard. They will cut you if you pull s**t like that. 2/If you are posting things like this you need to be defensive NOT offensive. 3/Learn how to run really fast 4/Dont punch the gobby one as his mate is waiting with a little old ki-bosh to back up his mates cake hole 5/If the truth be said you and your nan need to leave, you are not ready or equipped to deal with a situation where a confrontation may occur, 6/read the previous messages regarding token gestures and shorts under your trousers, good advice 7/DO NOT CARRY A BLADE IT WILL GET YOU FUBAR 8/Simple stuff, get the f*ck out of there 9/Please dont be racist. And before you all go judging I have been there, Ive seen it and yes I got the sh*t kicked out of me (on more than one occasion) trying to find away to solve the situation. No Im not posting the answer. You all know why. Big respect for looking after your elders. I think she would love a bit of time away from that place.
  7. Hi, I am having some soul destroying issues with my rear brake. I ride street and natural, my ride is a 09 onza blade, I am using the standard wheels still. In an effort to remove the arse bruising, elbow smashing brake slip this is what I have tried. Oh forgot to mention I am using 04 maggies. 1/Bleed maggies and replenished with antifreeze water mix 2/Braided hose 3/Citrus pads 4/Brake booster 5/Brake spray 6/light/medium rim grind 7/Viz orange brake pads. 8/More brake spray 9/cleaned of the wheel 10/Got a friend to ride it in case I am a shandy drinking nonse with no lever pulling abilities. What next, I am going mad The pads are square and the maggie has a loverly feel, quick and responsive but it just will not hold. Thanks in advance
  8. No that bike would be no good at all the best thing you could do is sell it to me Pay no attention to anyone else. It obviously a lemon go on let me do you a favour. Love it, as the other guy said ride it brake less. Have some fun with it
  9. Well this is my opinion up to you what you think If you want quality, go to tarty You want service, go to tarty You want it the next day, go to tarty You want inner tubes, go to halfords In my opinion (and I have no connections with tarty) use a tried and tested company I would bet my mortgage when I order my bits tomorrow, they will be here by friday. Be patient, phone them and they will probably have the next best or better thing. Good luck.
  10. still got the gu frame??????

  11. NO NO NO. Work to get validated like the rest of us
  12. Well I fail lots, Once I have picked my sorry self back off the floor, I go lower, I had a pipe break 4 pallets up, I have nose dived off a loading bay, nose first into a wall, every time it happens I go straight back to basics, I get 1 pallet and start practicing all over again. Everyone here has failed at one point. The best way of getting the confidence back I found is, back to basics and get out there, ride with the more experienced riders, watch what they do, they do not panic, they make it look easy and they can teach you more in an hour, than you can learn in a week practicing on your own. Keep the faith. Trust you bike Trust your abilities. And with that little prep talk whats the bets I have a big get off tomorrow
  13. If that dont work, give terry a text, he has keys to the workshop and we will blow the bastards out with a large air line. Laters Al

  18. What, You lot telling me you have never heard of a banjo bolt, surely not, I get the expressions from 20 years fixings broken cars and making them go quicker. And if you were wondering look at this. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Banjo_bolt
  19. Well I have followed advice given, It transpires I am hitting it with the back of my foot, causing it to kink then snap so what I have done now is changed the union on the left side so it attaches with a banjo bolt and I have routed the bridge pipe under the frame in front of the tyre and it seems to be working well, I will keep you all posted. Thanks for all your help
  20. Well in answer to the questions asked I ride a 2009 onza blade with echo forks, I belive its a long. As for keeping to walk before you can run, the logic is there and I keep that frame of mind for at least 10 minutes when riding, then the evil being takes over and I think of something that would be cool to do, then a crash follows shortly after. Im a fool to myself trying stuff I cant do but its in my blood and the rush of actually doing it is worth the cock ups prior to it.
  21. Hi I have a major problem and I cannot seem to find a resolve. I keep breaking my bridge pipe. I run a 2009 onza blade (mod) with maggies at the back, I have broken 2 of the plastic pipes, so I invested in braided items, and bugger me I have broke that too. It breaks in the same place left hand side just as it comes off the slave cylinder. I have a try all BB and cranks which gives me more than adequate clearance. Most breaks occur when on the back wheel. My best foot is right and I have all the pipes firmly cable tied to the frame. Its driving me nuts I would say I break a pipe every 5 rides on average. In fact not only drive me nuts it scares the sh*t out of me when i am doing a drop the bugger goes and it hurts as I am sure most of you know. Thanks in advance
  22. Hi, I have a dilemma I am one of the worst trials riders you will see, I ride a mod, I love my bike but I bash it bad. If I see something Ill have a go 9 times out of 10 I fail, the bike suffers. My dilemma is this, do I switch to a 24 or 26 as things are easier to roll up or just take it on the chin that I am crap and regardless of what bike I ride it will not help. I refuse to try other peoples bikes as I am concerned I will do it damage, I have tried 26 on the ground but not trying going up stuff due to the lack of skills. But I love my Mod, its battered but its looked after it wants for nothing. I have an ambition to go on a ride and not look stupid. I know a lot of you ride different bikes so whats the key? love what i got or go to the dark side aka big wheels. Answer it honestly you wont hurt my feelings Thanks AL
