im agreeding with everyone else on this one...id happily gamble a decent amount that by his teenage years there will be a level of resentment - either towards yourself or the sports you push him so hard in (or both) an alleged christian too? that bit did make me smile... Luke 6:31 "Do to others as you would have them do to you." would you really like to have been on the recieving end when you were 4? seems a few members here wouldnt

surely its about sharing the load over time? larger cogs/sprockets = longer chain as the length of the section of chain (under tension during pedaling - the top bit) doesnt really change much when swapping ratios, if you have a longer chain each link will spend less time in that "under force" section....each link has more time off whilst traveling round the rest of the system under less tension

ive been out the loop for a little while...is there any word or news about if/when that will be coming out? last thing i think i read about it was in feb this year...

f**k me you had your weetabix that morning!! that was great...as JD said, strangely hypnotic and as we say at work - thats the difference

genuinely thought this very same thing today! im finding that with each move theres one certain specific action that i need to remember that then in turn (after doing the move) reminds me of what the other smaller things are... could be an emphasis on straighter arms (a recent find for one move?!), a certain pedal position, body weight shift, something to look at etc means i only really need to remember one thing per move and getting it back comes pretty quickly...the rest im sure is just more practise, getting more and more comfortable on the bike until the particular move becomes second nature (remember basic pedal hops and trackstands etc - they didnt come easy either when youre starting out) just takes time!

could it not be that its only after a long period of no use that enough 'leakage' has occured for it to be noticeable? when in fact its actually happening all the time but as you ride from day to day its so minimal, washed off with rain etc etc that you dont notice.... find it strange that a brake would only tend to leak when under no internal pressure, unless it was the seals that had some reason deteriorated and failed. if thats the case theres only 3 places to look surely

mine is the model just before the '11 i get what youre saying about gaps...at the mo though 18:14 (similar to 22:17) feels too easy? part of me thought a higher gear would mean i could gap and do static stuff further? is it as simple as if your legs are strong enough then yes?

tried that and had no luck....it really is the only site that im having any issues with for some reason?! will try going back to IE7 or something cheers anyway for the info

im curious too...with danny using atomlabs id expect alot more people to imitate? they are about 28-32mm wide i think, depending on which you choose do no trials specific rims not hold their grind too well? or are they too thin for maggies in general?

strange, its the only website that im having any problems with

off topic but its easy enough to get a good water bleed without using a 'bath bleed'....having a friend to help makes the job even easier...syringe at the slaves and the tube at the lever submerged in a pint glass to push/pull water through the system
-
not sure if anyone else is having the same issues over the last few days, but most of the time the tarty website for me freezes or just takes an age to load...if at all anyone else having the same problem?

thanks for the replies guys glad i dont have to worry about getting halflinks and all that to get it to run well (with a tensioner) can i see a pic if you have one? how does it handle the stretch? i go through enough chains as it is...and id rather not invest in a 23t if i already have a 22t...

as the topic and title suggests im curious....anyone tried it? ratio works out as 1.375 which is inbetween what 23:17 and 18:13 would feel like in theory...ive just not tried those before for trials as ive only ever ridden 18:14 would like to know if its possible on the fourplay (old one) with chain lengths etc, and if so...how the harder ratios feel for trials type moves, benefits/drawbacks etc thanks

thanks for all the comments! couldnt help myself, had to get all the hope parts all in the same colour....will be curious to see how it looks on a different colour frame as and when that goes

I agree Johnathon...even though one has never rode their! -
another little vid to be favourited....liking the smooth parts and more inventive lines, the pesimism only adds to the style keep it up! look forward to the next

FINALLY got this thing finished, great to get back out riding after all the snow etc up here....looking forward to film my second vid

same old story with this ongoing debate and repeated thread topic - you know youre going to get camps from boths sides recommending either! seems almost 50:50 from all ive read everyone seems to forget that setups vary so much, its almost impossible to take any review without a pinch of salt: - different rims - different grind - different stiffness of frame/booster setup - different ability in brake pad setup - different opinions of a good feeling brake (more/less bite or more less/hold) etc they are no doubt both decent pads, get either and im sure you'll be happy (even after the VAT increase costing you next to nothing extra!)

favourited - great vid, i got alot out of that!

so....peoples opinions here....(it may be different depending on the styles of riding) is the braking forces on the front wheel rotor in trials similar to regualr riding? ie slowing the wheel when rolling forward same question about the rear? id think that on the rear anyway, the wheel (and therefore rotor) is more likely to experience the same force as it would if the rear wheel was rolling backwards... all in all in terms of the forces experienced most....is the front brake stopping you going forwards, and the rear stopping you going backwards?
