  1. Dell Inspiron 1501 (Click Best Buy Deals and then the one with "Bigger memory & hard drive") My sister's just got one of those so she can do work etc at home, and am sat having a play on it at the moment. Seems pretty nice, and bloody good value for money! only downside is the memory is shared with the graphics card, but if you arent going to be playing games etc then its a pretty perfect little bundle! Its on offer at the moment aswell, hence why she brought it. As with all dell's, good rtb warranty etc so all should be good. Just a thought M@
  2. Ditto, nuff said really. It truly is ace, even if you dont like transformers or never saw the original film or series, its worth it as a damn good action film
  3. Used to kayak bout 4/5 years ago, really want to get into it again but theres nowhere local that I know of that does it Never did anything quite that crazy, but spent a fair few weekends up in wales finding some white water etc Its not the cheapest sport 2 get into either I guess, and as u say it takes a lot of planning to get places and to arrange things! M@
  4. Just got in from paddy's day(night) partying in town with lots of aussies/scots/brits/take ur picks!!! Nice to be away from home for it, Brisbane (Aus) is a pretty damn cool city for a night out and a hell of a laugh! Celebrating it a bit earlier than u all so thought I'd say hi! Nicked a really ace hat aswell, mite get a pic up if I manage 2 get hold of the person who took them etc.....lol Ciao...off 2 sleep for 5 hours before getting a bus at 7am up the coast....foook >.< M@
  5. Doesnt give you much though, unless you can speak.... '.hu'.....hungarian??? Any info would be ace! M@
  6. Looks damn nice whatever it is! Are Noize frames just cheap copies then like the black mamba etc? Would be quite interested in one if it was cheap, contemplating getting a longer bike for the summer.....
  7. 306 dturbo? lol group 4 insurance, nice and pokey and plenty of room for a couple of bikes in the back, though u gotta fold seats down unless u get an estate version! Doubt theres much else out there for the kinda money, cheap to run, insure, repair etc M@
  8. Love the Everybody Hurts video by REM! Tough to watch though, reminds me of a lost friend Rob Dougan - Clubbed to Death Anybody who's seen the Matrix will recognise it, awesome tune and brilliant video. This isnt the full version, couldnt find it but its like 7:20 long! Rise Against - Ready to Fall Another awesome vid, fairly political and about the environment, which they're very passionate about. The bit playing in the felled rainforest is ace though
  9. 1) A supercharger sounds better 2) A V6 at high revs sounds better still 3) A V8 is the greatest sound on this planet 4) A supercharged V8 is just............................................................................ Edit: DAMNIT! I forgot a highly tuned A-series engine with split webbers on a straight cut dog box! Nothing quite like the sound of that hurtling around country roads!
  10. Awesome shots mate, think the new camera suits u pretty well then! Really annoyed I didnt have the camera on burst mode for beau's drop, that pic is rather amazing though. Makes it more tempting to get a fisheye if going to be taking photo's more when I get back from travels! Have u got full sized shots of beau's drop and the landscape shot of shrews' wallride? Think they'd make rather good desktops, reminder of a pretty damn good ride aswell! Still got a lot to learn about taking fast motion photo's :$ M@
  11. Hugely annoyed as the shot I took, didnt have the camera on burst mode :$ so only got the take-off! Its a very scrappy edit cos Im on dad's computer as mine has died, i.e. no photoshop etc (mspaint sucks!) Lol love the loss of quatity with paint aswell Was a huge huge gap, would like to see the full size version of mike's burst shot if he/somebody else has it! Awesome ride guys, big respect aswell Beau, you're nuts trying it that the way your bike sounded! Knackered headset and bb? M@ Edit: Nvm just seen mike's post
  12. OOo ooo Havent been about much recently and havent been riding for a good few months, but should be able to make it up on saturday Be good 2 give the bike a spin before I go travelling, mite bring thy camera along 2 and attempt sum pictures lol Where's best place 2 park if everyone's meeting at the station? Doubt there's gonna be any spaces in the station car park so... Be good 2 see a few old faces, havent been on much of a group ride since last summer :$ See u all saturday! M@
  13. DO NOT FEAR!!!!!! They are only supporting MCR (gaaaaaay) in the USA tour. When they're over here its a headlining tour Tour dates are as follows 5/3/2007 Solus Bar, Cardiff University 5/4/2007 Zodiac, Oxford 5/5/2007 Waterfront, Norwich 5/6/2007 Leeds Met University 5/7/2007 QMU, Glasgow, Scotland 5/9/2007 Wulfrun Hall, Wolverhampton 5/10/2007 Manchester University 5/12/2007 London Astoria Gutted that Im going to be in Australia when they're over again, still the best band Ive seen live. Such a pumped up and brilliant performance every time seen them last few years! As for the music, Rise Against get my vote lol. Definately get yourself Alexisonfire's new album Crisis, one of the best albums of last year! For something slightly less heavy find Hundred Reasons - Kill Your Own, another awesome album even though its relatively unknown due to small record label 36 Crazyfists are good, find their older album 'A Snowcapped Romance'. Very very good and a little different to boot. Dont mind Killswitch, their albums with the previous singer were much better, the replacement guy just cant hit the same sound with songs like The End of Heartache M@ Edit: Muppet cant type :$
  14. Skip back to page 2 Them bra things are kinda stupid, look highly amusing but they do server a purpose as mentioned above. If its a pre-production model thats gonna be displayed to the press etc they hardly want chips and marks all over it do they!
  15. Going by the cut lines on the *hidden* one above, and the proto released late last year, this is a pretty close example of how the new skyline will look from the back, apart from a possible re-model of the spoiler... As for the front, it got a facelift so remains to be seen how it looks... Gonna be pretty sweet though I can imagine! M@
  16. Thats almost identical....so I was hardly that far off the mark lol. The front has been slightly restyled, and same with the wing mirrors but thats hardly earthshattering. Im glad they did change it though, as that proto was uuuuuuuuugly! Be interesting to see what the final model looks like when its unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show later this year (Im lead to believe). Regardless, a 3.8 TT V6 with around 450 horses and 4-wheel drive will be....nutty?!?!? Bring on the unveiling! Just watched the spy video of it, sounds lovely but AUTO BOX??!?!? WHAT ARE THEY THINKING! *sigh* M@
  17. Get a decent program like BitLord or Azureus? They both allow you to set the upload and download limit per torrent. I have used Azureus before and its great, a little resource-intensive though so swapped to BitLord about a year ago and have never had a single problem with it! As for the upload/download proportion limit, with 90% of trackers thats rubbish. It used to be the case but now certainly for most trackers (mininova, thepiratebay) you can download at max speed with your upload set as low as 4 or 5 kbps. Gimme a shout if u need help setting it up M@

  19. LOL Dave, I think you quoted the wrong picture fella I think thats the one he meant....lol Erm as far as I can tell its not a Prodrive concept, but then I cant find a single piece of info on it anywhere List + pics of all cars displayed That shows ones on all the major stands, if anyone's interested There's some gorgeous cars there! Edit: I duno Si-Man, but I saw info on that saying its the new skyline rebadged the Nissan GT-R a few weeks ago. Meh who knows, but that top car in the pics is AWESOME
  20. Fraid not mate, this is the new skyline, and yes its hideous! Loving the pics, some amazing cars there! Would kill for a drive in a Lancia Stratos, or in fact any of the above cars!!!! That first car is stunning, whatever it is. Have had a hunt around but cant find any info on it from the Autosport site M@
  21. Im pretty sure the top end Lotus Elise versions push out close to 200hp and are only a 1.6 or 1.8 engine! Considering how little the car weighs and how well it handles, thats a pretty damn awesome car all round if you ask me! Will have a hunt for info and post back... M@ Edit: Ok so its not much of a saloon :$ 189bhp from a N/A 1.8 dohc engine is pretty damn impressive though!
  22. Buy a proper iPod? lol... If its a cheap knock-off then its never going to work as well. Could it have anything to do with different file types? Or are they all .mp3? Just a guess, if not then try formatting or bin it and get a proper one!

    Broadband

Oh god no, dont go anywhere near Plus.NET if you live in the midlands. We had it at uni and it was an absolute joke. The line was so unstable and used to be down for 12 hrs at a time every month or so. Oh and they dont have a "download limit" but a fair usage policy. If you do download over a certain amount during peak times (6am til Midnight or something) then they basically reduce your line speed by 75% through peak hours. Its not supposed to affect http/msn etc but it does, and it also means online games are laggy as fooooo I'd never go anywhere near them again. Ive heard great things about Pipex and Nildram, Im on my dad's AOL 2meg line at home, and although I dont download massive amounts the line is VERY stable and I dont have a single complaint! If you can get NTL they're great for heavy downloaders, a mate at uni who lived over the road used to DL 20gb+ a day at all times and although was politely asked not to use it quite so much (which he obviously ignored) there's nothing in the policy which stopped him doing it! M@
  24. Tesco is cheap, so is the Post Office insurance. Im with Marks & Spencers(!) at the moment, was £100 cheaper than with Post Office so paying £510 fully comp with a 250 excess on my dturbo 306. Thats with mileage set to 12k....though I may have gone slightly over that this year :$ Post Office Marks & Spencers Give them a try, you never know! Policy is pretty sound aswell, though dont get a cracked windscreen with M+S M@
