  1. Hey mate, I'm just building one now. Did the BB7's run ok? Are they 180 rotors?
  2. I've not been following the trials scene for a while now, but endure trials.......... this sounds like a disaster. The first thing that springs to mind is my other love from my younger days, dance music. Now, many different types of genre have merged and we have EDM........and its shit......... I'd rather not see mtb'ing and all its different disciplines turn into a similar heap of crap, its to good for that, but it seems there's more money from more sponsors so sadly its probably inevitable. Sorry if I'm I've missed the point but kinda disappointed to hear this could be "something". But hasn't akrigg been doing this for years anyway??
  3. sick vid, probably been said asked before.........but...... Chris Akrigg........Best/most complete/most accomplished/greatest rider of all time??? Discuss......
  4. Might regret saying this publicly but would happily accept an offer in that region! Its about where I figured/hoped it would be!!
  5. It's the same spec. In pretty good nick, 450 is to much full stop, can't think it would have depreciated as a unit that much though just because it's a few months older?
  6. absolute comedy......product placement anyone????
  7. just saw this and was about to post it. Cheeky F**ker
  8. a little ot, but what's the performance difference/idea of a floating rotor compared to a normal 'spiderless' one?
  9. throw lettuce or it will be like feeding time at the seal enclosure
  10. Its not evolution, its devolution, people turn into vegetables. It goes further than the NHS to. As a fireman, on more than one occasion I've helped in incidents based around obesity. One time the brigade Urban search and rescue team had to cut the side of a house out to get someone out! and it also puts us at risk of injury trying to move them manually!
  11. Fat people are the summary of society. People believe they can do what they want, how they want, when they want. Can't work because your overweight, boom, disability benefit, develop diabetes, here, have this treatment. Golly, your to heavy for our facilities, lets spend a fortune on whats currently a minority. What ever happened to self dignity???? Why is it that years ago sprt in schools was standard? Now it's a big thing to get kids into it? Perhaps if there was more sport on the tele instead of PPV kids would see it and go out down the park and pretend to be gary lineker kicking a ball about or Robin smith next time they play cricket? To have got inspiration!!! The Olympics was proof enough surely? A few weeks of top class sport and how many people, of all ages are now interested in getting involved???? Smokers are as bad. I've been proper messed up with crohns the past few years and sat in hospital watching nurses work their arses off, say what you like about the NHS but the work those people do is monumental, for very average wages and, as I observed, very little gratitude from those who they helped. If you opt to abuse your body, you sort it out! That bullshit about the breast implants was a joke. Expecting the NHS to bale out a failed bid at vanity! Obviously, if a woman had them for reconstructive purposes after cancer etc that's different, but some divvy Katie price wannabe tart getting them done so they look good, tough!!!!! this riles me.........
  12. First ride on the Atomz the other night, bit of a laugh at the MAD do this weekend, good weather round the corner, loving being back in trials!

  13. you've got an eye for lines but mixing up the drops with spins etc might liven it up? Kind of reminds me of a lenosky-ish way of riding back in evolve and the other reed merschatt films?? anyone else? is it a Canadian thing to ride with sus forks?
  14. will be there with a special MAD guest from back in the day!!!
  15. i needed an axle for a Draco about ten year ago. Couldn't get one! Good luck mate. Really nice hubs!
  16. pictures added. Bashring and rear brake to be fitted properly still as need to sort some bolts for the mounts but think you can get the idea? Also has a 2 bolt echo Cnc booster on rear
  17. forgot to say, has a rohloff ss tensioner on it as well! Pics on tomorrow if the weather is ok! Thanks to those of you who've looked in!
  18. Hi Guys. Facing reposting at work this week and, reluctantly, this will have to go if I am as it will mean I don't have the free time I barely get now to ride it. Proper posts only please, don't troll it, this is a scratch on the problems being reposted is causing and i'm pretty disappointed but 1. I wont have time to ride it and 2 I'll need the money :< . Spec is atomz 26 premier frame. Good condition. 1 mount helicoiled. No dents, minimal scratches. Carbon downtube protector. Semi int headset ashton 26 forks mag and disc mounts Viz 720 bars Viz stem 2012 hs11 with 1/2 worn plazmatic pads on rear, not sure on front? Echo tr cranks with tensile 60 click and trialtech ti halfring ( bashed, would benefit replacement) kmc chain dmr v8 pedals (i think) echo cog try all wheelset. Think it's the h set? front is laced 3 cross on disc side. Radial on non disc side. Conti front tyre and try all sticky on rear. Both close to end of tread life I think that's everything. If you might be interested in buying it pm me, may save me having to arse about writing an ad, will know next weekend if its got to go!! Thanks
  19. it would be a disaster i think. The growth of the 24 market must have helped drive prices of mod and stock kit up as it gave more choice without a boom in the market. No question trials continues to grow but it is still a niche sport. I struggle with the fact that frames are still as expensive as they were 15 years ago when it was a very small community and it was just the likes of Monty, megamo, giant, pashley, orange etc making frames. There is much more competition now with the more modern specific manufacturers producing kit as well but it seems to be as dear if not more so than back then. Surely it should be cheaper now? I know you have to consider inflation but marketplace competition should have made more of a difference? I think another class of bike would thin the individual markets out further and end up costing us more
  20. i put one on the other day. Pressed it down as far as possible then put it into the frame with the whole headset, popped the stem on and an extra spacer or two and just preloaded until it was down. I have got a big ass hollow hex bolt for running cables through giving plenty of thread contact to draw up on, a little Allen head bolt may struggle? I've an open bearing internal headset and hasn't seemed to have damaged it?
  21. thanks for the offer, but that's long gone! Had and moved on the echo since June. Now got an atomz premier I'm finishing building which I'll add to the thread once it's done!
