  1. Ive re-ground my rim and its not perfect but its better. I think the main reason was a crap grind.... still wouldnt mind trying some lgms or belays ;D
  2. Ive tryed cousts before and they are as good as using a pair of socks as brake pads...
  3. Basicly my brake pads are terrible, the problem is that whenever i get pads they seem to have a great reputation but they never work for me. I dont know wether this is my rim or wether im setting them up wrong. Alot of people say that LGMs or Rock Blues are good but would it be a good idea to get a rim that holds their grinds better like an echo tr rim? My brake set-up now is heatsink yellows cnc'd backed, monty 221 rim with a light/dead grind and origonal magura clamps and a 4 bolt booster. It has okay hold but no bite at all and i am consious of falling off the back. Also has anyone used the tr pads because tarty says they are of a similar compound to the zoo pads which i have heard that they were the best pads ever. Cheers
  4. The i do it feels more natural to me but ill try the other way

    Tar

Basicly my brakes are sh*t and my tar is going scarce. Ive been searching ebay for a while now but i cant find any tar, all i can find is tar removers or tar boilers and i am not paying 50 sqids for a boiler. Is there anywhere else i can get it from? Cheers
  11. that would be something i would say, appart from the seccond line
  12. There was someone on here a few months back who had a skull. After 1 month of riding it he had snapped the downtube in half. I dont know how hard he was riding, but after a months riding? Plus- A higher bb results in a nicer feeling on the rear wheel
  13. Bad idea mate. When you say the one on the left what do you mean? Are the teeth closer to the spokes or the frame?
  14. To get a dent out you need to hit it from the other side.... As its dented on a circular tube, i doubt it is possibe. The best idea is to buy a downtube protector to protect it from further damage and cover it up, but in the mean time, an old tyre should do the trick.
  15. On most cogs, the teeth are on one side and the threads are on the oter side. If the 'thread side' is on the right of the hub and it still wont budge, you may need a shorter bottom bracket. Like this.
  16. What rear cog do you have and which way round is it? Which way does your chain bend?
  17. Im sure me and alex will be comming. Laurence is awaiting a new tyre so unless he gets it tomorrow, he wont be comming.
  18. If you are bothered about it that much, turn to domestic violence. I heard from a friend that hitting it repeatedly works verry well but the only thing is, it tends to go into a nervous breakdown and doesnt want to cook clean or work anymore. The thing is im not sure if he was talking about women or magura brakes. But, im sure it would work for both.
  19. Steve has been ill lately so a reply my be delayed.
  20. Problem resolved thanks, i took it to some guy my mum knows and he used a press on it.
  21. It seems pointless spending an extra £10 to get something worth £10 free?
  22. I bet Alvaro Lopez is really Louis Spence in disguise.
