  1. Trialtech Sport lite is a good option, but if money is a problem, i sugest investing in square taper bb and cranks. They are not as good as isis but a lot cheaper. And i strongly advise not to get any bb not made for trials purposes. This may result in breaking parts when doing something you are not meant to do on any normal bike. For example rear wheel hopping or paedal kicks.
  2. does anyone know where to get a crank puller that you dont have to insert into the centrre of the cranks?
  3. does this work for taper? I dont want to sound dumb, but what is that? wouldnt that just stop the crank from comming off?
  4. The tyre pressures that people use change. I run about 15psi in the rear and about 22psi in the front, but i ride a mod and this may be different for a stock. It also depends on your weight. If you are heavy you are going to need to run a higher psi so that your rim doesn't hit the floor. hope this helped. but it probably didnt
  5. Hey guys, I got some new cranks today but i cant put them on untill i get the ones that are on my bike, off. The problem is that my driveside crank is threaded where the crank puller would usually go. Ive tried getting it off by hitting it with a large hammer. The only other way i can think of doing it is to saw through my bottom bracket, but i only want to do that as a last resort. I know about the threadless crank puller but i cant get hold of one. Any tips or ways of getting it off?
  6. Me, laurence and alex wont be able to make it because of school and john isnt back untill the weekend i dont think.
  7. Its not a good idea to get a brand new bike because when you start to bash this may crack the frame. When a new frame is £200. I'd advise looking on here fo a fairly low spec'd, low priced bike to start off on. That way, if anything goes wrong or you crack your frame, you have money to buy new parts.
  8. Here is my conclusion: He sounds like a posher version of will from the inbetweeners... I like the inbetweeners... Have a validation vote
  9. Ask on the wanted section for some cheap maggies and a cheap avid for the front save your money then when you are beast at side hops, get a rear disc aswell.
  10. Creepy crawlers or sticky lites are the best on the rear. Every one says the stickys are amazing but ive never rode one. As for creepy crawlers, they are amazing. I went from a bald creepy crawler to a new echo and i could really tell the difference. The echos are shit. Do NOT get them, everyone will tell you that. As for the front i have rode creepy crawlers, monty and the kenda and i do like the kenda the best.
  11. A grind makes a better sound when you use the brake
  12. I bled my brake with anti freeze and water with a ratio of 14:1 (the 1 being the anti freeze) and its great! It is the same as a water bleed .
  13. Remember i am on a mod. Anyway, if i did get trialtech's i would probably get the 165.
  14. If it sells more, the manufacturers wont complain.
  15. Hey guys, I need a new bottom bracket and people have told me to get a isis instead of another square taper. I dont want to spend too much but i do want some decent cranks. I like the look of the try-all 6061s but they look weak at the ends. The echo ones look strong but they are more expensive. Any comments would be a great help. Thanks. EDIT: Sorry i forgot to mention the length aswell. Im on a mod but some people say 170 is too long?
  16. I swear i read somewhere that he is using a motorcycle chain.
  17. But with the asda price check guarantee, you could save more on your weekly shop.
