  1. Cheers Sam, just yesterday I received a Bionic B5R-5 frame from Mr. Deakin, so the Comp frame will be getting replaced unfortunately Have to say though, the geo of the Onza frame is superb, just an excellent frame for the price. I will get a new thread banging when the Bionic is built, I can guarantee it will look and ride even better than the Onza did, cos I've also ordered a bunch of new stuff from Tarty You were in my suggestions on Facebook, so I have added you. Hope you don't mind!
  2. I probably will do at this rate, I can't really wait any longer for new shoes
  3. Hi guys, A few months back I made a topic asking which shoes Benito wears, and was told he uses the FG Trial shoes, but since I can't find that topic to post my question in, I have had to make this new one. According to the FG Trial website, these shoes were meant to be available back in August, but having searched all over the internet, I cannot seem to find them for sale anywhere. Other riders such as Dave Kerr and Oliver Battye, seemed to have gotten their hands on some, but that could be down to the fact that they are both beastly riders, and could have been sent some directly from the company. So does any one have any inside knowledge on when these shoes will actually be available to purchase? Otherwise I will have to go for some RIbos instead, as my plimsolls are getting pretty awful to ride in Thanks, Lewis.
  4. New frame has arrived! Thanks Jake mate :D

  5. Yeah, street trials just isn't as fun for me as pure, comp-style trials Guess I need a new user then
  6. Yeah, I found the Inspired wasn't allowing me to ride pure trials quite like I wanted, and trying a mod made everything feel much easier plus its about 4kg lighter! Unless you wanna change my username, you'll have to put up with this username.
  7. Wow that was awesome. Gilles' style appears to have changed a bit, his bike seems to sit even more vertical when on the rear wheel, looks sick like that though
  8. That was absolutely hilarious, maybe because I watched it without sound
  9. Amazing! Thanks for all the replies guys. I have been riding with my bars rolled forwards for 2 years or so now, so that wont be changing The 165 sounds like a much better option than the 150 now. What would a 180x35 Trialtech feel like in relation to a 165x35? Isn't 180 a bit too long?
  10. Hey guys, So I am waiting for the delivery of a Bionic mod frame from the lovely Jake Deakin (JMCD on TF) and we have been discussing which stem would suit the bike best. The frame has the following geo: 1000WB, 350CS and +90BB. I am an advocate of low front ends, and want to go for a 150x30 stem, as my riding involves A LOT of static and back wheel stuff, with my body being very upright when on the back wheel, a similar position to Jack Carthy if you will On the other hand, Jake is telling me that a 165x35 will suit the bike perfectly, and whilst I don't doubt him, I can't help but feel like that wouldn't be as suited to my style as a 150x30. So I guess my question is, would a 150x30 feel too cramped and low with such a high BB rise like +90? To those of you who do have ultra high BB frames, what is your opinion? Thanks very much guys, and thanks to Jake for his opinion Lewis
  11. Made this little edit today, wasn't sure where to put it so it can go in here I guess http://www.vimeo.com/53787318
  12. Hi, sorry to hear about that, I know the feeling for sure. Unfortunately £400 is too low for me, as the bike was worth around three times that when new. Is £400 his absolute maximum budget?
  13. Cool, cheers dude. The only thing that puts me off that stem other than the graphics, is the rise isn't as low as some of the other sloped 150mm stems
  14. Bike looks great and your riding seems to have improved a lot since the last video I saw of you. How did you remove the logos from the stem? I am thinking of getting one but hate the look of the logos
  15. Wikipedia: An expert is someone widely recognized as a reliable source of technique or skill whose faculty for judging or deciding rightly, justly, or wisely is accorded authority and status by their peers or the public in a specific well-distinguished domain
  16. I have used many different types of grips, but swear by the Rockman Thick Foams, I have found them to be really easy on my hands, the perfect thin-ness ( can't imagine how thin the 'thin' ones are) and they are also very durable considering they are foam grips. I have got a pair of the new Try-All foams sitting around that I haven't yet tried, but I would imagine they are pretty good too. To be honest though, I don't think you can go far wrong with any of the foam trials grips, because they are all rather similar in my opinion
  17. Use the search bar, there's been a couple of these threads made before.
  18. Absolutely awesome stuff from him as per usual. His riding is sooo creative and original. Super smooth too
  19. Haha, I know, it was my dream bike when I built it up, only reason I am selling it is because it doesn't get ridden as much as it should do, because I spend more time on my mod. The front rim is actually black and has never seen the use of a rim brake, so it must be the light which has made it appear that way Btw, that is my favourite bike pic angle for some reason too
  20. Thanks, it is a gorgeous looking bike isn't it? and no probs
  21. I've got one for sale if you are interested:
  22. Lol, got some good features that, really thin too!
  23. Why do you always refer to him as 'the Swiss guy'? Assuming you are indeed talking about Michael Nowak
  24. Haha yeah to recreate the colour tones seen in this video, you would need to apply colour grading or split toning. Search for some youtube tutorials to find what i'm on about. Heres one that might help (same principal applies regardless of the application you use):
