Cool, will you be updating this thread when a new blog post is up?
-
This is a really neat idea for you to look back on your thoughts of the state of the trials community as you get older. I look forward to reading your future posts. Will you be making any videos/ adding photographs for your blog now that you have an Inspired?
-
Yeah man, can't wait! I have only ever risen with other trials riders on 2 occasions (Both of the tarty days) and so this will be a cool experience for me Can't wait to check out Barrow Farm too
-
Really solid riding there mate considering the time period in which you have been riding for
-
Thanks I agree with you Dan, I need to go find some street spots to ride Bit off topic, but I have some news regarding Radfest. Last time we spoke, It was unlikely that I'd be going, however, my dad spoke to me about it the other day, and asked wether or not I wanted to go Obviously I said yes, so I will be seeing you there for definite now

Surely that parallel parking thing with those fake Minis could be beaten if they'd used small cars Or is it the distance between the car's bumpers?

Hey, welcome to Trials Forum! I'd recommend going for a stock bike, as it will feel slightly more like an ordinary bike than a mod will, especially as you are 6' 4". Once you have got your bike, try not to feel as if you are not progressing as quick as you'd like, as this is something a lot of new riders do. For the first six months to a year you may feel as if no progress has been made and that you shouldn't have bothered getting into trials (I felt the same). Instead of thinking 'Theres so many moves I can't do', try to think of each move one at a time, and learn it very well before moving on. I have only ever ridden with other riders on 2 occasions, but found it to be very very beneficial. So have a look on Trials Forum to see when other riders plan to ride the area near you and get out and join them Most Importantly, have fun on your bike and your skills will develop as you spend more time on the bike. Check out these tutorials to give you some very good tips on various moves: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vS-QZpvCB58

lol, I love quotes like this, as if we clearly knew which trial shops he already knew of On a serious note though, Sam has listed all the ones I know of

Trialparts.net At It Again With Another Sick Logo!

By posting that photo of the chain stay protector, I just wanted to show how widely that font is used in the trials community. I didn't say that it was a bad thing. Personally I think that font choice is more than suitable for the target audience, and is more interesting to look at than say a boring formal font. -
Maybe those claiming that this feature didn't work were logged into the old Vimeo? I am pretty certain that the old Vimeo didn't support this kind of buffering.

Looks like this too: -
Thanks, I am glad you have enjoyed them, I may do the odd video now and then but I definitely don't think I will be putting anywhere near as much time, thought and effort into them. Could change my mind though.

You are all wrong about the buffering element of Vimeo. Go try it out now - Pick a random video to watch, scrub through the video to a part which hasn't buffered yet and then click it. See? You don't have to wait for the whole vid to buffer anymore like it used to. Everyone? Really? I know tons of riders who will only upload to Vimeo
-
Talking about it is also likely to bring more attention/ widen the audience/ increase participants which is always a good thing
-
Cheers dude! I didn't put any sidehops in the first video and just got carried away here never mind Not sure I'm gonna bother making any more videos, as the amount of effort I put in them isn't worth the reception that they get.
-
Well you asked for the post code so I figured you wanted to send mail to Glasgow
-
I doubt that there would be anyone there to pick up your mail
-
Haven't seen a video of Benito for a while now, but that was incredible! Back hops going down the ladders was impressive, not to mention the huge explosive stuff like the gaps. The ascending of the escalator was neat too. Good find.

Awesome! Thanks for the Flickr link some real good photographs taken there -
I agree with all you guys, something is missing on 20". He was my favourite stock rider Also that video of him on the stock has to be one of the best trial videos of all time for sure. Just waiting now for Canardweb to tell us all how he has seen Vincent riding the 20" and that our opinions are all wrong.

Hey guys, Due to how well received the last video I did was, both on TF and observedtrials, and the requests that I had to do a sequel video, I realised that it needed to be done. Here it is - Backyard Thrash II. I believe that it has turned out much better than the previous video, and is definitely more upbeat and cheerful. Enjoy. [media=]http://www.vimeo.com/43492045

Thanks dude :') Video will be up and viewable in 2 mins. I am using TNN LGMs on the front and Heatsink Yellows on the rear.
-
To anyone who cares, Currently in the process of exporting and uploading 'Backyard Thrash 2'. I am super pleased with the results and feel it has turned out really well. Should be uploaded on here within 45mins...
