  1. Hey, I live in St.Neots and as far as i am aware im the only person that rides trials. Is there anyone else who rides there? as riding with other people always makes it abit more fun than on your own.
  2. Its not as the components of the bike are ones which would be found on a trials bike not on a DJ bike, e.g. Maggy HS33 rear brake and a disc front, the super small gearing.
  3. What's it like t ride trials with them? How much travel are you running on yours?
  4. Just seen this picture of Yohan Triboulant with his 24" street trials bike, i see hes running a lowered set of Marzocchi Bombers. was wondering whats peoples opinion on running a set of these? they look good, there heaver than ridged forks and more expensive. are there any benefits?
  5. hi guys, just wondering what effect will it have on the disc brake (e.g. cooling, power, modulation?)if i change to a larger rotor size e.g 183mm or 203mm? any help would be much appreciated
  6. hey, usualy when you custom build a bike it will work out more expensive as you will be paying the full RRP for the parts, where as a pre build bike will be less as some parts (usualy on cheeper bikes)are un branded, these are cheep and cannot be purcased.. It will also depend on the spec of the bike. Pearsonaly i would say get the one you would prefer then upgrade pars as an when you want. Hope that helps abit
  7. Hey just wondering if anyone has signed up for the Redbull Street Light sessions in Manchester on the 8th October? Does anyone know when they let you know if you've won?
  8. Thanks guys, does seem a little silly now better start clocking up the hours on the bike
  9. i am 16 and thinking of starting trials, i have 2 years experience riding mountain bikes. is 16 to late to start and get really good? all the people i know that are really good started when they were 12-14?
  10. Hi guys I was thinking today what kind of rotor gives the best performance from a disc brake? e.g. Solid rotors, Floating rotor, ones with large cut-outs, small cut-outs, lots of holes, no holes. what do you all think ? ? ?
  11. Hi mate, I personal prefer the Shimano AM40 MTB Shoes (the ones Danny Mac uses). They have a plate under the soul you can swap, one makes the shoe ridged with little flex and the other flexible like a normal skate shoe. They are also cheaper than the five tens. http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=31537
  12. yeah i would file them. this video explains it all
  13. Yes, echo 4 bolt on the rear and my forks have built in one that would explain the front one, but not the rear one
  14. A couple of questions: - What's peoples views on water bled Magura brakes? - I have Magura HS33's with Echo TR levers, I have heard that the Echo cylinders leak when bled with water and the HS33 are fine, are the Echo levers fine when bled with water? - Lots of people say putting Anti-Freeze in with the water is a good idea, what ratio of water to anti-freeze should I use and what affect does anti-freeze and water have on the brake seals and inside components. - What's the difference between using water compared to the Magura Royal Blue fluid?
  15. i have been thinking about doing a water bath bleed with abit of anti freeze in the mix,
  16. Hope Moto Trial on front with 180mm disc Magura HS33 on rear
  17. I've been wondering how do you turn when your on the rear wheel. every time i attempt it i end up turning round the axes of the front wheel rather then the rear. any help would be great thanks
  18. yep 100% agree with those 2, integrated is way forward
  19. Thanks for the comment, i have tried blasting the fluid through, where could it be getting trapped though? One thing I have noticed is that the front brake has fluid coming out from somewhere but I cant find were.
  20. I have a set of Magura HS33 brakes which have top spec components, the problem is I cant get them to be any good . they are really spongy and I have (and my bike shop) bled them loads of times. if anyone has any idea about how I could get them to be as good as they should be, could you please help. thanks There spec: - Echo TR 2011 levers - Goodridge Braided hoses and fittings - Magura cylinders - Echo SL cylinder washers - Adamant Offset Magura Mounts - Atomz HS33 pads - Filed brake mounts, so clamps sit flush - Bled with Magura royal blue fluid
