He made it, some skaters use them but this one has different safety standards. Watched this earlier so funny, I love how crazy he is and the cool little moves off the bike are alot different. But I don't see how you could get any speed at all out of 16-14 it might be for really fast fakies?

Thanks for all the help, the slow motion bmx video was pretty good breaks it down alot, I'm just not twisting my body around enough and I need to carve alot more. Gonna leave brakeless 360 tyre taps for abit they feel pretty crazy.
-
Why has this split? Also another question about spins, I can 360 tyre tap on my inspired but I'm not really sure its do-able off anything big without brakes.
-
As said above learn sidehops first from 2 wheels and once you progress go from the rear, brakeless is a good way to learn to roll things more alot of riders tend to just hop up things nowadays brakeless shows you that you can basically use momentum to get up stuff.

This theory course is a part of the first practical one but its a distance learning one, I think it was about £140

If These Vids Dont Make You Want To Buy A Helmet...
Miles Mallinson replied to Carlperkins's topic in Beginners Trials Chat
Credit to the guy who went for a too front gap and almost front flipped. -
I'm doing my first Cytech qualification in a few weeks, I can't do a practical one yet because I can't get off the Island to go to Manchester. I was just wondering if anyone has done any Cytech Theory courses before and what are they like?

Is this as a gap 180 or a static on the spot 180? If its a gap 180 learn how to do static 180's first then you will get the motion then just kick forward more, when you static 180 you look around the way you are going and twist your hips and move you body the way you are comfortable with

I haven't got a clue really, its either go to college to study either photography/film or product design, then its a plumbing apprenticeship which would be good because I'll actually earn money and I can go anywhere in the world with that. I hate making decisions or something I really want to do is work in a bike shop but I've been told thats pretty boring but all I want to do is fix bikes that would be what I'd like to see myself doing in 10 years time.

Painted it black works well maybe too well though almost went over the bars a few times but at least I didn't get my foot stuck
-
yeh i'm on my brakeless inspired

I can get around 270 then bring the front end round on the rear wheel, I do it quite slow though that may be the problem.
-
I'm having trouble with 360's, do you sort of aim to land on the back wheel when you rotate I can't really figure it out. In some videos different riders do it differently, some do it to flat and some do it to the rear wheel which is best or easier way?

I found a pit of corrigated iron, I'm gonna cut that to size it seems pretty tough.

Onza Zoot Or Ashton/diamondback Effect
Miles Mallinson replied to mdstampy's topic in Beginners Trials Chat
I've ridden both the zoot and the effect, the zoot has proberly the best quality components and a better frame, but the ashton does feel good to ride, you won't be unhappy with either bike but the zoot is already a full package of quality stuff just get the stem changed because its abit of a beast. -
See when you were installing it, if your not using a proper tool you should bend the lower part of the star nut so it sits in the steerer tube properly. Did you get it from halfords?
-
Cool, I'll measure mine up and see if I've got anything.
-
Aye was riding tonight it does help putting you foot at an angle but its kind of an annoyance to remember to do that, I was thinking about getting an old saddle then taking the plastic backing off it, cut it into shape then bolt it on.
-
I think its a 1 inch star nut you need, you can ge them from halfords I think or Tarty the smallest size should fit but a medium size also does.

Best And Cheapest Food/drink For A Trials Ride?
Miles Mallinson replied to Blake's topic in Trials Chat
Everytime I go out I get a carton of 55p ribena, there are two categories of sweets to chose from, I never go for the bagged individual sweets like skittles or minstrels because if you open them they go everywhere in you pocket, so I either get a ripple, double decker or a packet of skips which I just eat before I start riding then regret it when I drink my ribena first because they are pretty salty. -
I got a new-ish fork today its wider than my old one so when I go for footjams or whips my foot gets stuck inbetween the tyre and the arch of the fork. I saw a while ago that Mark W had a footjam plate made out of fibreglass and was bolted on to the fork, I was just wondering if there are any alternatives to this like instead of making it out of fibreglass to make it out of wood? Or if anyone could make one for me that would be good.

If you don't like the adjuster knob on it then go for the cheaper FR5 they are pretty much the same lever blade and body apart from the adjustments.
-
Aye I don't want anything too expensive but I don't want anything that falls apart on me like my camlink.
