The zoot is quite different to the echo, the echo is more compy, tgs style 24 and the zoot is aimed at street trials not to say either bike isn't capable of different styles of riding. If your looking at the zoot frame on tarty go back to the 24 frame list and click on the 6th one down that is a better choice (inspired by the way)

Just a quick question, will there be anymore screw on hubbed 24 rear wheels anytime soon there are a couple of echo splined ones but non apart from one that are screw on for freewheels.
-
The only trials bikes really with rear freewheels are most street trials bikes, they fit on screw on type hubs just the same as a screw on sprocket would but the cranks have a fixed scrocket or bolted chainring on them.

New Pump Track And Trials Sections At Lee Quarry Bacup
Miles Mallinson replied to TonyL's topic in News
Singletrack Looks great, whats gonna happen to the old pump track I loved that thing its was pretty small but you could mix and match loads of lines. Would like to know more about the new trials sections aswell more of the same would be good, also has anyone ever seen anyone ride those rails near the old pump track i've never figured out how people could ride them at that angle. -
Not sure really I think the dropouts either bent or stretched then the wheel just came off whilst 180ing off something. I haven't really got a chance to ride it properly yet as soon as I built it up it started raining but had a small raz around on it the geometry is slightly different but feels the alot chunkier which is good also as you know the derailleur hangers on ashtons are terrible so now I can run a proper tensioner.

I think he sprayed it Satin Black but yeh they do look great in black.

This is my newish Fourplay, my Ashton broke so decided to buy this off Stan Shaw off here. Had a little ride around on it tonight and it already feels alot better than my Ashton just feels chunkier. It still needs a few things sorted out on it like, I'm going to paint the rear rim black just so its even more stealth and new pedals are needed some trialtechs will do nicely I think (but that will happen after I repay my mum for this) and yes my shed is very messy at the moment! Spec: Fourplay Frame Trialtech Cranks 170 Inspired 23t bashring Trialtech 23t sprocket Echo TR 18t Dmr Revolver, Dmr DV rim rear, Hope Xc on Atomlab Pimp Maxxis Holy Rollers SystemX 90mm, 35 deg rise stem Funn Fatboy bar 720mm Some cheap clarks foam grips Sunline Vtwo headset Identit Tuning Fork Wellego V12 copies

How are your cranks and bashring so unscratched my first ride with my trialtechs they got pretty bad.
-
Looks very nice, which sunline headset is that?
-
Cool pictures pretty dull weather in the natural pics though, that is a great example of a leech leg on the rail.
-
When you pedal it gets tighter so do the opposite, I had this problem a while ago, mine had little shards of metal in it from somewhere I fished them out and sprayed it with gt85 then it was perfect.

32h is more common on trials specific rims, they are lighter than 36h but aren't as strong. Go for 32h though because there is alot more choice and remember to match the number of spoke holes in your rim and hub.

Has Anyone Learnt Anything New This Weekend!?!
Miles Mallinson replied to pizan7586's topic in Beginners Trials Chat
Or the other way around -
Did some riding in the next village over for about 6 hours, was riding my shitty mod as my ashton isn't really alive anymore. It felt ok riding brakes on that bike though.

Theres an article in mbuk this month about him there are a few pictures of him riding like this, i think theres one with him pivo t360ing off a drop on his corsair konig slopestyle bike hopefully there will be some videos of that.
-
Sierra Nevada maybe?

I'd say Akrigg is as popular just not outside the bike community, I think people who don't ride can't really understand how hard it is to ride a AM bike like that or riding brakeless. The public think trials is just about Danny Mac really, with this video though I think it will appeal to alot of people out there as the riding is amazing not to say that his others weren't though.
-
Crazy riding I don't think there is anyone you could ride that as fast as him. Yas he is wearing a Endur-o-matic well good helmet!
-
no its the Arran ferry to Ardossan, I thought it was pretty scummy but it turned out to be quite nice.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=my4tk67oyuQ Sorry that its abit long for this thread but its so crap it doesn't deserve its own thread, this is last Saturday when me and my friend went to the mainland to ride found some cool stuff but I wasn't really planning to film some lines so it isn't very well though out. Also this is the last video on my ashton as she is on her last legs.

Another Way To Tighten Bottom Bracket?
Miles Mallinson replied to Aidan97's topic in Beginners Trials Chat
It can be done just not really good enough if your gonna ride it everyday or so, if you want to do it without your proberly gonna have to tighten it up every few rides as it will come loose or just go to halfords/local bike shop or something they will do it for you. -

You can screw it in by hand so it is flush with the frame but it won't stay tight for very long, only way i can think is using a flat head screwdriver and knocking it tight but you might (will) destroy the grooves.
