  1. A new star nut is the only way really, just knock it out with a bit of slim metal piping or thick dowel and get your LBS to fit a new one its a simple job.
  2. Cool, I 'am forever trying different was of tensioning my chain on my Effect, I did something similar but with a bit of old metal and a chainguide roller, them Ashton hangers are so bad aswell. Thats nicely tucked away.
  3. There should be more companies making different sized screw on sprockets and bashrings, like the trialtech sprocket and inspired bashring.
  4. I thought that was so funny at the start, and I thought it was fixed but then the blood sort made it real.
  5. Yeh proberly the case with me, mine just came with my Adobe Photoshop Elements 8, WMM is still really good really easy to use I do use it sometimes for older videos as my Premier doesn't like my old cameras footage.
  6. I never had any problem with my bb5.
  7. Obviously the bb7 has better performance but I prefere the bb5 as its alot simpler, the bb7 uses the same pads as some of avids hydraulic brakes and I find the pad holders are abit fidderly, the bb5 is proberly more robust aswell because it has less adjustments to go wrong. But thats just me.
  8. I'm using Adobe Premier Elements 8 at the moment, its really easy to use and the features are good, but the backgrounds take ages to render that might be my fault though.
  9. Orite cool, doesn't Akrigg do that aswell, I also love Chris Doney's bike anybody know what that is.
  10. It looks loads like an Effect, why would he ride one when he rides for Ashton. Is it because Ashton aren't making anymore bikes?
  11. Proberly all of Akrigg's 2010 videos deserve video of the year but the brakeless riding in both parts are incredible.
  12. Don't worry that wasn't what I was going for, anyway just to keep the ball rolling, my other favourite of the year is Chris Akrigg's brakeless pt1
  13. Whats the definition of trials for you then, if Way Back Home isn't trials.
  14. Well they work but they don't really last very long like other people have said just save up for a good one.
  15. What bike do you ride ? A brakeless Ashton Effect How long have you been riding ? Been riding trials for about a year and a half but MTB for 4 years Favourite trick ? Proberly wallrides or footjams Best riding spot ? Down my local beach or Lee Quarry Sponsors ? nope How often you ride ? Everyday
  16. I recognise some of them places from Koxx Trials Lessons, cool video and welcome.
  17. For some reason I feel like learning at least 3 breakdance moves. Obviously get better at trials. Enter my first trials comp on my brakeless bike if thats allowed. Proberly revise more for school
  18. Such a nice bike, not really a fan of the Monster Energy sticker on the head tube, I'd say bikes look better from the right though just so you an see most of the components. Them wheels are great aswell.
  19. For trials it would proberly be for me Rowan Johns pink Ashton Effect there aren't any pictures of it I don't think but I saw it on a video. For mtb either a Santa Cruz Nomad Carbon, Orange Alpine or any Lapierre Zesty.
  20. Cool idea and nice riding of what you can see of it but that speeded up bit made me feel abit motion sick.
  21. Same, or Impact lows, expensive but they last much longer than soft soled skate shoes.
  22. No not really, what I meant was that this is the like a screw on single speed kit, you can use freewheels for the front or back depending what gear ratio you want. The advantage of having a freewheel on the front is for better ground clearance they mainly used on Mods and Stocks for natural terrain. Also another advantage is the weight and engagements of the freewheel compared to a normal mountain bike hub, engagement is like how long it takes for it to kick in so if its got a higher engagement like this trialtech freewheel: Trialtech Also the weight is a difference as freewheels and screw on hubs are normally lighter than quality freehub hubs.
  23. It makes the wheel turn forward and lets you freewheel its just like a screw on single speed cog or sprocket.
