It would be alot cheaper than using DXR's all the time.

I was thinking a while ago that you could have a 4 bolt adaptor for a normal granny ring for a threaded crank. I drew this just to see what it would look like. Proberly a weight issue there. http://www.pinkbike.com/photo/5625039/

Same, an old VW or transit beats them hands down. You can't get a bike on the back of one of them cars you can get loads in the back of a Caddy.

How Much Of Your Own Maintenance Do You Do?
Miles Mallinson replied to bikeperson45's topic in Bike Chat
I have to do most of the things myself because I don't have a LBS as I live on a island, I've worked in a bike hire shop for about 3 years so I have just learnt things from that. Also learning from books, magazines and DVDs has helped alot, I wouldn't really trust myself to service forks or shock well theres the simple things like setting up suspension and rebound settings but I'd proberly send them to Mojo to get them professionally serviced, I'm in need of one of them soon anyway. I'm gonna get my Cytech qualification next year aswell its all good fun really. -
Nukeproof have some pretty good stuff at the moment but I love my Spank Subrosa's on Hopes I got them off Chain Reaction on the custom build part, they are pretty light for burly wheels.
-
Orite, for a Mod I'd go for Maxxis Creepy Crawlers or a Echo.
-
Theres been a few threads on stock tyres but Maxxis Minions, Continental do a few and Try All just look on the Tarty Bikes site there is a good choice there, I can't really comment on tyres for a stock but i've ridden Minions on my Mtb and they were nice.
-
Not if you run a thick walled tyre or a heavy duty tube and it also depends how smoother rider you are because if you thrash your bike off drops or gaps and don't really soak up the landing as much as a smoother rider your going to get more punctures.
-
Yeh, lower psi's are much better on Mods just depends on what terrain you are riding.
-
I think its about 15psi still pretty low but not as low as 3psi.
-
that has to be a typo, i ride a minimum of 40psi on the rear of my brakeless bike because i always puncture when doing spins off stuff but when i rode brakes proberly 25psi for the rear would be the minimum

I hate them brakes, so pointless my friend had them on his giant, it such a stupid idea if you like feel in your levers they are so bad because your gonna accidently flick the lever down to the granny ring or something annoying like that. I thought this was a spam thread at first but maybe not.
-
Avid BB5 or 7 are two good choices.
-
I'd say a 24 would suit you, you can always take the brakes off if you want to, so you can ride more TGS sort of moves with brakes then take them off to ride flowy street.
-
Which sticker? there is a tartybikes, trialtech and some homemade Ashton and Diamondback stickers.
-
Yeh i think the old colour scheme sort of split up the smoothness of the frame with the lines of black across the top tube, I sort of regretted doing it because I wanted to ride so much but now that ordeal is over I can just ride it.
-
Oh I'd maybe email paypal directly or contact the your bank.
-
It normally says that: Don't worry if you can't see the money in your account yet, it may take a few days to process. or something like that.

I made a thread a while ago about which way I should go with my Ashton, Rawed or Matt black, this is the outcome, I was going to get some decals from Ashton but they didn't email me back so I made some stickers with a Dymo label maker. I just wanted to know what you guys thought of her, I personally love it, still not sure about some of the things like the bodged chain tensioner. I'm getting a Atomlab on Hope Pro 2 sometime that should spice it up abit but what stuff should I get to maybe jazz her up or make her better. Also i think my gusset internal seat post looks kind of weird in white would it be possible to take the padding off I never really sit down so I'm not too worried about that.
-
Not really trials but you can get a disc cleaning spray, my favourite is White Lighting Clean Streak, i've seen some people applying the spray then setting fire to it i'm not sure if this works but it look cool after this you need to wipe the excess fluid off with a paper towel.
-
Do you think: 1. You ride fast and smooth like not using your brakes as much as you need to. Or 2. Do you just hop around like more static moves than taking a run up. If you are the second one stick with Mod for a while and try to ride things faster and smoother. But if you already do ride this way go for a Zoot, its proberly your best option at the minute for a starter 24 inch bike, then you can upgrade it to how you like.

It took bloody ages though the top layer is fine but then there is a white under coat which is a female dog to get off.
-
I'm not saying it annoys me but it might annoy other people for some reason because some people are like that.
