As said, you commit to things alot more because you can't stop yourself from doing it. Unlike brakeless BMX where you don't really need a brake, its just for stopping, obviously in trials most moves depend on them but when you take them off you rely alot more of your drivetrain and hopping ability, there are less correction hops and you learn to roll and land things on both wheels which is an advantage if you go back to brakes. When I went back to brakes I found that hopping up stuff became harder because I just chickened out when I got to the hopping bit but now they are off I feel alot more confident doing spins and going up stuff.
