  1. The more experienced members on here will probably give you all the advice you need, but speaking personally, I was always cranking my bad foot too fast. When I was learning I made a concious effort to do the first part of the rotation slowly (to get the front wheel off the ground) then I gave it all my power with my good foot to get the back wheel up. I hope that makes sense. I'm not trying to state the obvious but it was the sticking point for me when I was learning, I just gave it full power for the full rotation and it always left my good foot underpowered. I find the slower I crank the first part then the more power I can get for the launch. Again, I hope I'm not stating stuff that is a given. But I learned back in the days when "Getta Grip" was the raddest bike vid around, so good tutorials were hard to come by and simple tips made a big difference.
  2. I've used Heatsink and Echo pads before and they both work a treat. I'm currently using the TNN cnc backed green pads and they work great, with plenty of bite - but they are a bit pricey! I'm seeing a lot of love for rim grinds on here but I've never had that much success running ground rims, but I guess I just don't have the knack for doing it right. I know a lot of people swear by the grind so i'm sure it works when done properly. Either way, I just stick to smooth rims nowadays, with decent pads I never have a problem.
  3. Hey all! My names Fraser and I've been riding on and off for just over 10 years (but that doesn't mean I'm any good). I ride a 24Uk and a 20" Czar. I live in Aberdeen but I mostly ride natural sections or at the skatepark (cause I don't have any trials friends!). I used to organise a trials night at the Aberdeen Exhibition Centre years ago so some people on here might remember that? Also, I'm not a big forum user in general so don't bite my head off if I do anything noobish!
