  1. if halfords have the right hanger in it wouldnt be a problem if you know what goltec number it is or what letter it is if its standard theres should be just as good goltech are pritty pricy mind super cycles do some hangers and pritty cheap to or did. and i wouldnt bother ordering in at halfords take aggggiiiiissss. Ben
  2. if your ordering the spokes through tarty he has a table i think...feel im a bit to late though. Ben
  3. if you do get a pro 2 make sure u get a pro 2 trial. the number of pawls and pick ups is not the only factor though for instance the diameter and the pick up size can effect the hubs strength and stiffness. also i would only advise a king if you are going to service it fairly regularly or they can let people down (many seem to just hack the abuse and don't need any services or anything.) Ben
  4. i found this site explaning how to build a wheel and thought that the laceing section was very useful and thought other people might want to use it. http://www.sheldonbrown.com/wheelbuild.html ben
  5. not as nice measurments for me though and i have black frame if it comes to looks. any one ridden both wich was stiffer? cheers for the reply though. ben
  6. made me laugh. if its real that is one scarie kid but i mean how many keyboards would he get through doesnt seem real. ben
  7. hey, my fattys have decided cracking would be a good idea so i was wondering what the controls strength was like compaired to the urbans. i prefer the geonometery of the controls and the price and weight but i never realy trust the look of bent forks they just look weaker. ben (sorry this spell check thing doesnt seem to work for me it wont take me to the download site and no pop-ups have been blocked?)
  8. sorry i read that in a hole diffrent way.
  9. I get a bad back from riding and nozmeister used to somthing rotten when he had his 1mm wheel base monty. resting it does seem to make a big diffrence but im pritty sure its not good for you but it feels amazing lie face down on the floor and get sombody to walk down your back it it clicks it out a bit. longer bikes seem to be less harsh on the back as well as you dont arch them as much. ben
  10. if you realy like the feel of that stem if you can get somthign with the same length you could just stem stacker it antill your bars are the same height also you can roll the bars forward or back a little if you dont liek the length of the stem (im nto a lover of the feel of this my self though). sorry i knwo very little about mod stems looked at second hand ones? ben
  11. the way i understand it is a lot of frame have a built in boster but that doesnt mean you shouldnt use one its still going to stiffen the brake and no matter how beefy the tubing is the mounts are still only attached by the same amount so you will get flex off them and they will want to rip off after a while. ben
  12. the swelling agents make the rubber seals get all fat and go wrong basicaly. no matter how many times u bleed them there going to leak think its new breaks to be honest the seals are only going to get worse. there are other mineral oils around i used to use castorol (if thats how its spelt) LMH but now i just go for water. i think though your friend needs some new breaks or a refund from the bike shop. ben
  13. i dont see how if there female riders or not makes much diffrence i have to admit if there was no riders with in a reasonable distance i wouldnt be able to ride as i wouldnt have the motivation but weather there male or female shouldnt be an issue its still sombody to ride with and its still bloody good fun. ben
  14. im quite likeing the look and sound of it and the way it doesnt have drill holes. whats the joint like on them does any one know? also noticed your running V's on the 4 bolt mount does that give a lot of flex or do the bosters get rid of it? thanks for any help. ben.
  15. i tend to like it when people watch nice to see sombody enjoying what were doing and seeing it for the effort and commitment we put in does rub me up the wrong way with the same questions all the time (seats etc.) but as long as there not trying to annoy you there ok. i do show boat a little like do the tricks they normaly like like drops for some reason they love them. ben.
  16. as im quite bad at english thats about it what you was saying was compleatly wrong and i know there will b a my break went funny in the cold topic but every week there is one on tar or a grind or why when i pump my tyre up it makes a snake noise and doesnt get harder...just dont read them if they annoy you. ben.
  17. me and noori are freshers as well. i live in john phillips and noori in harry french theres ali he rides as well hes in towers on the 8th floor i think east side but im not sure iv added you on msn and well have to meet up for a ride. ben
  18. right iv been using EBC greens for ages and thought nothing could touch them expecialy when i broke them and tryed clarks they realy were terrible any way i recently got some fibrax pads (sintered) and im realy impressed seems to be olding the same or better than EBC's also has the spring that always disaperas some where in your garage and a disc rotar wipe isnt that nice of them. im not sure what the wear is going to be like but there seems to be plenty of material so if its bad ill do an edit. well thats about all iw ant to say realy. ben
  19. i dont realy understand this i must say most people are quite happy with one set of break pads seems to make more sence to me? but i did like my koxx borwns tend to blunted grinds love CRM's but its getting wintery so i would say somthing like coust pads. ben
  20. right water doesnt randomly turn back into oxygen if it did it would explode when you threw it on a fire i think you might find its bonds to be extreamly strong. water does have AIR bubbles in it that is why break fluid is used it also lubricates th system. i have used water for agis and apart from freezing iv not had any problems as for the seals why would you want to remove them? you cant buy replacments any way i dont understand that bit. ohh and oxidising has nothing to do with oxygen comming out of somthing. and you can use cheaper minral based oils magura rip people off i dont often throw wobblers but if your going to get in a moodie at least know what your on about. ben
  21. i didn tthink to use the syringe with out the hose in the sink you legend im gonna go try that now thanks. ben.
  22. 26" they fit my bike a lot better than other sized wheels.
  23. i did give it a good old shacking i think as the sinks so small it is just getting trapped in the hosing and no amount of pumpings gonna help. think its time to by a new bleed kit thanks for the help though. ben
  24. right iv done plenty of syringe bleeds before but iv recently gone to uni and like a real winner i forgot my bleed hoseing. so iv been trying to bleed my break in my sink and i keep on doing the worst bleeds ever. i thought that it might be my sink is small so its hard to keep the hosing below the bleed holes. or if the systems realy empty do sink bleeds not work? its almost certain im doing somthing wrong so heres what im doing. 1.fill my sink 2.put the break in and take out the bleed screws 3.push the lever down then cover the masters bleed hole with my finger as i release it 4. do this antil no bubbles come out 5.do my bolts up 6.cry about how bad at sink bleeds i am thanks for any help ben.
  25. iv just brought my second pair of v8's and im having the same trouble and they dont seem to be wearing in but getting worse if i was you id take them back and show them how long youv had them etc. if youv done every thing right theres no reason for them to creek so you shoukld get your money back no problems. ben
