My slate 2 cracked in 8 months, think it was a weld fracture, out me off a bit, but they gave me a kortz 2.5 cheaper

Why grind the front rim if you have a disc brake ?

The pads are fairly old and worn, TNN LGM pads and a Trialtech sport rim, the circle holed one. Shane

Got a 2 bolt booster, the brake stopped squealing and the hold went sh*t so I re-grinded it using the usual method, fairly harsh grind, the grind smoothed after about 10 minutes of riding. I read on here that too harsh grinds are bad, so I grinded it again but a light grind, it lasted longer but has now smoothed over. Does this mean my rim is dead or is my brake too stiff ? Please help. Thanks Shane

Good, this is really annoying me, my steerer tube is really short, about 170mm I think, so I either need to buy new forks or swap someone for a longer steerer Thanks a lot Shane!

Basically I cracked my Slate 2 frame, got a Kortz, I used to be able to gap slightly further and easier. I have been told to put more spacers under my stem, will this help ? and if so I can't because my steerer tube is extremely short. Thanks Shane
