  1. OK, as people have been asking me about a promo video for Jack, I have decided to bunch together a few old clips as a teaser for his main video, coming this summer.... http://www.samfishlock.plus.com/Jack%20trailer.wmv ^^^ NEW LINK!! Engo Link.... Unfortunately it's on engoedidee, as Trials-shack is down,so if anyone can host it somewhere more accessible, it would be greatly appreciated. Cheers,Sam! :ermm:
  2. On Rollacoaster he is on a Koxx LB 1065, but he then had a Base, which he snapped, and is now riding a PX mk 5 zebber.... I'm trying, I'm trying...... we need better weather to do the filming, Jack's a pussy and won't come out when the weather is so much as misty.....
  3. Hmmmmm, I'll just say one thing..... Jack Barne's promo video, coming soon...... :ermm:
  4. Yeah Simon, they are the ones Jack had, we took them apart recently to find out that bearings did not exist (Y) One of my friends Brad has got some amazing pedals, lasted him like 2 years and there still going strog, i'll have to find out what they were....
  5. Hmmm, I can only suggest that you steer very clear of the atomlab trail-pimp pedals, they arn't very grippy in the best of weather, and when the rain comes in your just bumed for grip :) Also there are actually no bearings inside them at all, it is just an axle that fits perfectly into a hole in the pedal body (Y) edit: you recieved my pads yet?
  6. Yes they've got a hammerite silver finish on them. I might consider getting some Echo Urbans soon......
  7. Si if you wanna know about using Bit-Torrent, catch me on MSN (Y) T'is a perfect way of getting almost anything download wise :)
  8. I don't think this is true, getting on in life, being good with women etc all revolves around confidence, if you get slammed about all your life etc etc then your going to be a heap of shitty nerve's all your life. Personally, if I was him I would have swung my bike round there faces for dear life. Ohh and this face (Y) <<< cares not what you all think of that.
  9. Wheelbase on my tibo was just under 1055mm, the BB rise was +20mm sameas the control, and I am about 5'9 tall.
  10. OK, so you have the choice of an absolute minut increase in balance, or a better increase in strength, you like you ankle's in pieces?
  11. That is bloody excellent, good find (Y)
  12. Hmmm interesting, I always found having the bars tipped slightly forward helps with 90% of power related moves, such as gaps.......meh will have to give it a try, cheers!
  13. Surely you would want to go for the shortest bottom bracket you could get away with? A longer bottom bracket is going to be weaker, and in theory the bearings wouldn't last aslong....
  14. OK, I've been riding the Echo Control 1065 for about 2.5 month's now, so I thought for people who are considering it, I would write up a small review for it (N) I will be comparing it to a Planet-X tibo in places.... Backwheel Control: I found the control, much easier to *sigh* control on the back wheel, it felt much more balanced and slightly more effortless. On the front wheel (front hops, nose manuals) it is very nice to keep balance of aswell. Kick - gapping: This was the most noticable difference with the frame. I could gap so much further and not to say much more effortlessely! I have recently managed around 7.5ft, I could just manage 6ft on my tibo.... Static to front wheel: Very similar to the tibo, quite effortful, but comfortable. Front-bumping: Ahhhh, good ol' front taps :P I have recently managed 41" on a vertical wall ever since I got this frame, it is very nice to front bump, but I'm sure the new chunkier tyre may be helping a bit. I also find that I am not veering off to one side either now..... Bunnyhop: This frame, although longer is easier to pull up to bunnyhop and manual, but I rarely do/done either with both frames, so I can't give much infomation on that. Spins!: The frame is much easier to spin about than the tibo was, infact I find this frame easier to spin than most of my friends shorter bikes! I have recently been pulling off 360's on the front wheel, but am still learning to do it on the back wheel. Sidehops: This was the only downside for me, I love my sidehops, and I struggle a bit more than I did with the tibo.... I could get around 39" with my tibo, but so far have only managed about 34-35" with the control, I am trying to learn to go to both wheels instead of front wheel first, so if anyone has any tips, please tell! Strength: I can only judge the strength by looking at it, but I must say that you would be silly to look at the control frame and not think of it as chunky and strong looking! Aswell as very beautiful! Actual wheelbase measures up at 1073mm with fattyR forks. Overall, I would describe this frame as having the control, balance and ease of a long bike, with the maneouverability of a shorter bike, which can only be a good thing! *yawns* PM me or reply in here if anyone wants any more detailed pictures of the frame, or any more details on it! Sam. :)

Can you just 'enter' any category? Or do you have to enter like intermediate and then be brought up into another?
  16. Umm, Jack (local rider) has done just under 14ft flat to flat, in Herne Bay. Theres this gap in Dover, thats at least 15ft, with about a 2.5ft up, and he's came SO close to making that, many many people on here have seen the video, especially Sharn who's asked me about a hundred times if he's attempted it recently :P He'll do it in the summer (N)
  17. People need to learn how to use macro-mode on there camera's (N)
  18. Dunno bout mine, I found a picture of a penguin swearing, then made his eyes red, gave it a blue background, then smoothed the edges away, and voila.... The title, well.........name's Sam (N)
  19. Dan you star! (N) T'would be brilliant to get it done anywhere around here :) Sam Fishlock Margate road, Ramsgate, Kent 07967379316
  20. I make the video's with him in it :- I think it would have to be for me: Vincent Hermance TRA Phil Williams James Porter Boon Well, they're the people I like to watch most, especially James, I must watch one of his vid's before I go out riding everytime, they're excellent video's :o
  21. I'd still eat that! Infact thats how I like it :o
  22. Hmmmmm........interesting. :o
  23. No it does pretrude slightly out of the seat-stays, it's not sharp or anything :o
