At the end of the day, we're still people mucking about on mountain bikes, and therefore have the image of a child/teen.

A lot of footage of the federal team at Boyley was being done for federals new video, so look out for that. Check there website :o
  5. Errrr, this race hub, is the lightweight race version of the oddysey cassette hub, which is already out, with 14mm axles, and steel hardware.....
  6. oh no...... Ashford is a big mistake..... ride Ramsgate, beats the hell out of most places to ride!!!!
  7. ^^^ Strange, one of my friends has JUST got that hub built onto an oddysey rim for his BMX, and it's lurvley  Only for mod though..... 110mm spacing 'n all....
  8. Yeah if I recall correct, i only ran 6 of the available 32 spokes, each of which had no nipples, and if I also remember right, that big bit of metal that goes through the hub, which holds the wheel in the drop out? Well I never had one of those, that might of been the cause of the muchos rolling resistance present on my bike....... Also, your post up there ^^^ about the bedding in thing, what if the helical splines have twisted slightly over time? It's still going to slip, doesn't mean its not bedded in properly?
  9. New wheel :( Shimano hubs are not designed in ANY way to take the stress of trials use. Get a Hope hub, or if you can afford to a profile or chris king.
  10. profile :P Kings are so damn weak, I've destroyed two of them, ripping away chunks of the flanges on them, hence then missing spokes from the wheel.
  11. Basically, Engine braking is the act of using the energy-requiring compression stroke of the internal combustion engine to dissipate energy and slow down a vehicle. Compression brakes is a common legal term for the same mechanism. Large trucks use a device called a jake brake to increase the effectiveness of engine braking. (Y)

You wait, you'll buy a 306, start doing it up and realise how f**king unreliable they are and how much they cost you in regular repairs and petrol, talk about petrol guzzling.... * Say's the person who's buying someone's 306 gti-6 *
  13. Buy a mech..... Do this...... (The one after the pedal bodge) Sorted..... Works forever.
  14. James, that spec is beautiful, I put money on it that is a really light BMX..... Only thing I would change is the tyres, put some odyssey path tyres on it, or perhaps try some Fly Ruben tyres..... Anyway... Taken on my phone, will take some better pictures later on tonight. Cheers!
  15. No, t'was sold, i have given up trials, just thought I'd put RIP  Ummm, it is in a local town, it's a bunnyhop not pedal blunt, will have to get the camera down there, i rarely go down there now as i ride BMX and am at the skatepark most days..... have you seen his promo trailer I made a while ago?
  16. Errrr....... just because the clutch is down, it doesn't mean the gearbox isn't still moving.... The gearbox is attatched to the wheel's, and still spins forward when the wheel's are moving forward, so if you try to go into reverse whilst the wheels are still moving forward, the gearbox is still moving forward.... hence the crunching....
  17. So what have we established in this thread, that the length of your bike is down to your own riding style and personal preference? Who wins the Captain obvious award then? i mean Local fat-man jack barnes has a wheelbase of around 1020 and around 45psi in the tyres, and can sidehop around 50", backwheels around 55" without bumps, and can gap 10foot flat to flat. He can then get on my old echo control (R.I.P) with a wheelbase of 1070 and pressures of around 15psi, and bunnyhop 360 off of stairs, spin like a f**king spin-top, and manual forever.

Although Baz did pull off a double tailwhip off the quarter into the hip...... Was Dan Lacey the one trying to fufanu that back rail on the far right quarter, and his bike kept f**king off down the drop the otherside? (6th picture down) Oh, and what federal riders where present?

Waheyyyyy. got some nice pictures for you all to wish you had a BMX :- Enjoy
  20. I'm almost 100% sure you can't get springs on there own, although I would try to contact Odyssey and see if they will chuck some in the post for a small fee, it is doubtful though, as that is the point of the extra's pack. myownhero, go for the tree sprcket everytime, i've heard and seen nothing but good things from them :- I notice you live in hastings, did you go to the comp on saturday? It rocked
  21. So do, tell me what band of car DOESN'T have genetic problems? Hmmm...... just applying rally driving tactics to general road driving makes me think your being a bit of an arse..... you shouldn't be having to change gears so quickly and at higher speeds to have to match the rev's up, if your not driving like a loon. And, it hasd to be said, driving like a loon does nothing but cost shit loads of money. I used to drive like a nut bar, have had a big accident involving spinning round and round at about 60mph, had to spend £390 on a gearbox rebuild, just spent £200 on a new clutch and clutch cable, and the dents involving the accident cost £411.95 to repair.... That;s already 30% over what I paid for the car? Mature? No......
