Apparently they work better, and obviously last longer on a light grind.

DMR have been around for a hell of a lot longer than Echo, and therefore know the recipe for good parts. Hence why V8s are SO popular. Same with Wellgo, the MG1s that Nich mentioned 1st are magnesium, not far off the weight of the Echos and I know I'd trust them a massive amount more!
