Thanks for the suggestions guys. My budget has gone up to about £400 now. Been looking on pinkbike/ebay and think I will probably go for something second hand. After going trail riding at Glentress and hiring an Orange 5, I really would like a full susser but I guess they're too expensive.

A grind that has been used for a while and lost it's life. Therefore, you won't get as good brake performance as you would with a fresh grind.

Have you tried a mixture of water and antifreeze? There were loads of topics at winter and I'm sure several different people said that antifreeze has lubrication properties in it, therefore stopping the pistons becoming slow or sticky.

Why don't you just continue using m6 bolts since you tapped it to m6? Or even better, helicoil it to m6 and have less chance of stripping the threads again.

So you put an m6 bolt in? How did you manage that? Did you tap it out to m6?

Fair enough, didn't really think of it like that. I just assumed that something so light would break very easily. Happy to be proven wrong though.

Agree with above. Why try and make super lightweight forks when the current ones still have weaknesses. Companies should try and maintain a good weight but work on making their products strong rather than stupidly light.

Yes, if you ran a sprocket on the front you would need to run a freewheel or freehub on the rear. You'd probably be best sticking with your current ratio.
