  1. You should ask whoever it is you're planning on buying it from to measure it up for you And I personally don't think another 500g will hold back your riding at all.
  2. well done, really good. i guess the comps in england are a fair bit harder than up here so you progress fairly quickly.
  3. That was pretty good. Thought you just started comps not long ago? Well done.

    3 Tricks

different, but that was pretty cool!
  5. Check pinkbike out. A lot of nice bikes popping up on there around the 300 mark.
  6. Yeah I agree, when I asked one of the guys about a certain product he seemed more interested in selling me one of the new onzas.
  7. No need. Spray loads of WD40 in there and keep working at it and it will come off.
  8. Thanks for the suggestions guys. My budget has gone up to about £400 now. Been looking on pinkbike/ebay and think I will probably go for something second hand. After going trail riding at Glentress and hiring an Orange 5, I really would like a full susser but I guess they're too expensive.
  9. A grind that has been used for a while and lost it's life. Therefore, you won't get as good brake performance as you would with a fresh grind.
  10. Have you tried a mixture of water and antifreeze? There were loads of topics at winter and I'm sure several different people said that antifreeze has lubrication properties in it, therefore stopping the pistons becoming slow or sticky.
  11. Looks nice, but I reckon it would feel quite unstable.
  12. Why don't you just continue using m6 bolts since you tapped it to m6? Or even better, helicoil it to m6 and have less chance of stripping the threads again.
  13. So you put an m6 bolt in? How did you manage that? Did you tap it out to m6?
  14. Thanks. Think I'll take a look next time I'm near a store.
  15. Fair enough, didn't really think of it like that. I just assumed that something so light would break very easily. Happy to be proven wrong though.
  16. Agree with above. Why try and make super lightweight forks when the current ones still have weaknesses. Companies should try and maintain a good weight but work on making their products strong rather than stupidly light.
  17. Yeah, I know i won't get something amazing for that price, just looking for something to go for rides on and off road with, but want something that will last me well Would I be better off looking down the second hand route? Thanks PM'd

  19. No. I've never tried it, but to be honest i like to here everything that's going on around me. It would put me off, and I imagine earphones would be constantly falling out..
  20. Yes, if you ran a sprocket on the front you would need to run a freewheel or freehub on the rear. You'd probably be best sticking with your current ratio.
