  1. As mentioned the preview post still doesn't work
  2. You'd be surprised how little £200 and stay away from anything plastic and/or metal as it gains condensation and makes everything inside wet resulting in rust ect.
  3. I think I read somewhere that the real good strippers need to be in a plastic container due to theyre strength they will eat through metal.
  4. Hydro giros would he no good for trials as they are very spongey due to they're design. Essentially when you pull the lever pushing fluid into a tube like compartment (Like a headset without the bit that goes in the frame) pushing a a ring down into another tube (Same design as the.previous) pushing the ring on top pushing fluid in the lower half through causing the pistols to go out. Badly explained but I tried.
  5. Aren't your cams on the outside in that picture? As said file/machine your caps down.
  6. With modern frames stripping threads shouldn't be a problem as its more likely to have cracked before you go through the original thread and a helicoil or alternatively you could use the stud and nut method?
  7. I thought it was because there weren't enough threads to accommodate a freewheel safely but can't remember if it was with or without a ring. Echo should supply echo sl frewheel spares. Same with the saint brakes as IIRC you can't by seals ect and that's the only thing that puts me of saints.

  9. Ti bolts, Square the holes and drill + sink the sidewalls.
  10. I thought it was the minor flex you get with steel affected the rear suspension pivot especially when you get the frames with the complicated pivots its ect. Although mtb isnt really my thing So I may be wrong.
  11. Can you not just use a nut that fits the the drop out effectively slamming the wheel and then using a spoke tensioner to take up the extra slack?
  12. Pretty sure he's already made it and it was posted on facebook unless I've mistaken it for another.
  13. If you feel you are slouching over too much I'd get some higher bars presuming you have an onza master stem if not get a higher stem. It is not possible to be too big for a mod as you get tall people riding 20" and small people riding 26" and vice versa, same goes for 24, unless your abnormally small ortall
  14. What pressure are you running as I know flip has to run rather a rather high pressure. William you must be very lucky to of only had one puncture over your time riding or your just very forgetful
  15. Standard hope as I've heard bad reviews on the hope pros and echo pads are too hard.
  16. The echo tr brakes aren't a touch on the hope brakes. My mate had echo tr brakes and after getting hopes he can't believe he got the trs in the firstplace.
  17. you will also need to flush the system out if you change the fluid as 2 types cannot mix.
  18. Pretty sure I read on here somewhere that a Marino (identical to the fourplay) is lighter than the inspired even though it is made of alloy.
  19. Stick a punch in one of the little holes in the back of the freewheel and gently hit the ring round until you can unscrew it with your fingers. If your going to put the loctite on the lockring you may aswell clean the grease out this way with an old rag or the like because it will speed up the bedding in process as there will be less grease to spread around.
  20. Just use dot it is just as thin as water and wont kill your brakes. People only use water as it is thinner than mineral oil therefore being a nicer feeling at the lever but this doesn't apply as Dot will give the same feeling due to it being very thin.
  21. Stripping the grease out isn't compulsory but it does make things a lot quicker as tensiles usually contain a lot of grease.
  22. There's a lockring on the back that I think you can hit with a screw driver to knock it round to open it then vice versa to screw it back in but don't count be on the method of opening/closing.
  23. Open the freewheel up and clean most of the grease out and give it good dose of light oil then put it all back together ect and ride your bike around I normally do 1-2 hours of riding with no trials.
  24. I'd swap if i were in your position as I doubt your because frame has that much life left in it after 2.5years and a Marino being made out of steel can be repaired as many times as you like unlike the because being alloy cannot.
