  1. Id go for the cannibal as it sounds like you have a mountain bike background and you are used to bigger wheels.
  2. Pay the extra and get the middleburn hardcoat mine still looks new after a fair bit of rough abuse, you wont regret it!
  3. The black one has scratches on the downtube (26")
  4. hi, Thinking of getting a profile ss wheel of here but dose any one know were i can get the disc hub shell and is it possible to swap them over? Also will i notice the fewer engagements coming from an echo sl? Thanks Adam
  5. Maybe he has a set of the prototype ffw middle burns as tested by Adam at Tartybikes but they where never put into production because they didn't have enough threads to safeley support the freewheel and bashring.
  6. Though you had a ffw? I use echo 7075's they seem very good so far.
  7. There is no best bike brand it all depends on what you want some one may say echo and another inspired but they make totaly different bikes.
  8. Didnt think of it like that oh well . Looks like its new cranks or going with the bash plate.
  9. no real reason it was just out of iterest. You will have problems with shorter cranks because there aren't enough threads to support a bash and freewheel as stated on tartybikes. from tarty. Wide threaded section on the 170mm and 175mm arms only allows a bashguard to be used also. Please note that the 160mm and 165mm cranks are to be used with a freewheel or sprocket only (no bashring) as they have shorter threads.
  10. Off Topic: Just out of interest is this the same huy you brought your xtp off? My link
  11. If you want to upgrade anything i would upgrade the brakes as i have heard people having a lot of problems setting up the vee's and moved onto xt,sd7 or xtr brake arms and the problems stopped.
  12. My DMR V8's are very grippy and strong to say the least further post dost apply to the dmr v8 pedals. Just make sure you get the right pedal for what you want some pedals are for different forces such as static ect. Taken from tarty (echo TR): When used for trials, the pedals come under different loads and forces compared to their usage on other bikes (e.g. BMXs) or on unicycles. They are designed to withstand static forces and 'normal' bicycles put more cyclic loads on the pedal axles. While they're fine for use on a trials bike (I've been using these pedals since they first came out, almost a year, and have had no issues with them), some customers have reported they've had some problems when using them on unicycles and some other types of bike. Thanks, Mark
  13. I personally think its a great idea, but just a bit pricey for what it is thats all.
  14. £900 It doesn't even have a good spec Zoom bars + stem thats halfords apolo standard of parts, suppose its the fact its electric would make it costly.
  15. why not get a bashring and ditch the plate but keep the mounts?
  16. I have trialtech sport rise (not high rise) and i am very happy with them!
  17. When i said street for the 24" i was referring to onza's range of bikes which is the zoot a street bike .
  18. 20" are probably better for beginners at proper trials as they are smaller and lighter. 24" is best for street. 26" if you are experienced with mountain biking or moto. but it all depends on what you want. Hight also shouldn't be a problem as you can change bars and stem combo. Theres also a vid on tarty aswell on this.
  19. Your on it, the tf is the best place to look.
  20. ZHI and bionic are a sister brand of echo and used all echo's ideas along with cranks and other things, they are now in a dispute hence why tartybikes don't stock zhi and bionic. someone correct me if im wrong
  21. Id wait and get an sl as having experience with trialtech freewheel it has much less drag than my current echo but isn't as solid a skips every now and then but the trialtech would be good on a bike such as an inspired on the rear.
  22. Use hydras spirit removes oil and tar, just make sure you rinse it of.
  23. Rocknrollbikes.com selectbikes.co.uk
  24. As far as i know you apply it to the desired surface and leave it until it bubbles then just wipe it off.
