  1. i think if there was 100's of sports involved like climbing, kayaking, basejumping etc it would be a good idea. but im sure something like that already exists, i remember using it once. its a massively over complicated way to find out spots to ride, and seeing as trials riders can ride on mostly anything.. i cant see this having any where near enough information. for example i want to know riding spots within 20 miles, not the spots in canada. it probably wont work. it might... but dont expect it to be the next new thing.
  2. ahhh there goes my side of the argument...
  3. in that case i will whip my brakes off now.. you can try something once and not like it, you dont have to do it for ages.. anal is my first example and im honestly not wanting to go below the belt here.. but the debate requires it. we saw your first 2 months videos, and you were riding on a wall 2 foot high, then on some grass and a kerb. i can do that without brakes, but i wouldnt call myself a brakeless rider. just saying. dont take too much offence. depends how much you like falling off? its not that bad and most time it doesnt hurt, but i wouldnt say i enjoy it, id prefer not to.. thus.... brakes haha
  4. well it kinda is different. for me its polar opposite. you do ride to what your limits are and all that, but at the end of the day it comes down to the rider.. i, for instance.. ride with brakes as its a lot safer for my riding style some things i dont have to use brakes on, but they are there if i need them and they act as a placebo affect maybe. i tried brakless for a week and was always on the floor, then i got back on brakes.. and no falling off. id rather not need them but have them, rather than not have them and need them. where as you mark, are much more confident in your abilities and skills so you dont need them. really this whole debate is kinda pointless because people ride with what they feel comfortable with, and when we want to really test ourselves we will make it that little bit harder. and for the record.. im sure flipp has a tooth missing, and half the bmx kids in my village have teeth out. hahaha.
  5. I think people generally ride with brakes cos you can do more (maybe not in flipps case... but were not all flipp are we) but mostly just because is safer. i personally dont like falling off my bike, i just like going out with mates and having fun on my bike, i tried brakeless for a few weeks, granted it is actually quite fun, but my progress was really slow. if my progress with brakes slows down and i start getting bored.. then brakeless might be an option to liven stuff up. plus... i cant do half of what flipp does with brakes.. so why would i take them off. haha
  6. not to mention.. those bars ARE going to snaaaaap!
  7. dont know about you.. but i dont stick my finger down the end of the hose to make my brake work..
  8. what forks are they? neons? and are they any good?
  9. i probably don't need to mention this.. but the song is absoloutly terrible. probably the biggest downfall of your vid. its the sort of song that you would expect to hear on some kids tv show bike edit, like a cbeebies bike riding tutorial edit, pt 2, day one without stabalisers... ok now i'm rambling on. other than that. thumbs up
  10. really enjoyed that! whats the song? sound like black keys. sick tailwhip at the end by the way.
  11. ok i take my comments back then.. for £50 thats bloody good!
  12. dont want to be a dick.. but am i the only one that doesn't like that bike? i mean its good for a budget bike but.. meh. in my opinion it needs straight streety forks big street tyres, like holy rollers disc brakes nicer bars and stem. ... and a splash of colour. looks boring as hell. and before anyone jumps on my arse thats my opinion. out of interest.. how much has it cost in total?
  13. theres loads of products out there to keep you warm.. heated grips, heated seat face buffs, gloves yada-you. is there anything out there to keep you cool and stink free??.. people i know who ride to work have to get there early and take a bloody shower! this may be something to mull over.. just sayin. and if it does take off and you become a millionaire.. i want a 10% cut.
  14. Ah prob why when he sidehops he falls on his back, Too used to jumping backwards.
