  1. well that sure is brakeless.. forkless.. wheelless.. barless.. crankless.. i could carry on but the gags probably too old already.
  2. i had a 2010 onza zoot and it cracked at the seat stay about 2 months after i got it. i got it of a guy on this forum who had it a few months though. anyway.. it was less than a year old but i had no warranty info, i rang onza and they offered me a half price zoot frame if i sent mine back. but i didnt really fancy buying another and waiting for it to ping again, so just bought a 2011 echo lite, ended up selling the frame for 100 on this forum too. long story short.. i think when they crack, most people just think.. bugger that, either sell it or bin it. i would have chucked mine in a skip if someone didnt offer me 100. great bike, just weak in my opinion.
  3. done, took about 10 seconds. bump
  4. http://activesport.co.uk/shop/category_177/Halo-Spokes-_-Nipples.html?shop_param=cid%3D%26 that will help. just pop out a spoke and measure it, then buy accordingly.
  5. yeah i may swap back to the old style hs33's if a replacement lever doesn't work. why they changed the design for 2011 i dont know. they were fine as they were. i thought.. ooh 2011. surely better than 2010... epic fail. i like the brakes though, when they work they're great, design looks good and strong as hell. shame really haha.
  6. ive got the hs33's lol! cant imagine what the hs11's are like
  7. got some 2011 maggys, had them about 2 months, i thought they were fine at first, i kept finding tiny oil patches inside the plastic cover etc, but i thought it was just a little fluid maybe coming from the ebt drill thing. but i sent my forks away to have the mounts straightened by tartys, got them back, put the bike all back together, went for a ride, and found a few dobs of fluid on the frame and stem etc. gave it a new bleed this morning and then had another short ride, same again. its definatley coming from the lever, when its squeezed you can see some fluid welling up in the gaps in the lever. the hose is on the barb fitting perfect, and the barb fitting is screwed into the lever perfect. what do you guys reckon? send back to tartys on warranty for a replacement?
  8. if all else fails i'd pop the whole brake off and send to tartybikes for a service. may be like 30 quid but atleast youd be done with it. lol i hate my maguras at the moment! i keep finding blobs of royal blood on the frame so i think i have a leak too, what a bitch... i much prefer cable bb7's
  9. yeah same problem with my echo forks, get a piece of copper plumber pipe or something and smack the hell out of the star nut, it will eventually get stuck and be all mashed, then flip the bike upside down and go in through the bottom, give it a little hell and it'll fly out with a bit of persuasion.
  10. plus a booster should protect your crossover a bit.
  11. sorted.. close please admin?
  12. im going to be getting my mod frame done soon too. neon bow '09. ive got white forks already so i think im going for Lime green frame. (like 2011 inspired fourplay) white forks white rims w black spokes black cranks black stem green echo bars green echo pedals
  13. yeah ill be running brake cables most likely, gonna go for dual BB7's, cant afford hopes. i think ill strip the frame and then have a look for a suitable place to drill. for the rear end i will probably run the cable out of the end of the tube. like. if you imagine and onza t-pro.. there is an "onza" logo on the end of the tube, just infront of the rear tyre. i imagine drilling a hole in that wouldn't have any effect on strength.
  14. so you mean like this.. under the red bits are two holes in the support im guessing you mean go through one of them? then out the arse end somewhere. this is an example, i dont have that frame.
  15. i got an '09 neon bow, im basically just doing a little project mod, making it sleek and light for some fun. id prefer to run cables internal and have a completely sleek frame. ill look at adams thread tomorrow, maybe PM him and see what he thinks. i dont want to build the bike up, make it nice and then twang it in half haha.
  16. hmm.. well the last thing i want is to drop off and lose my face due to a snapped frame. i think ill just leave it for now, it would look mint cosmetically but probably not worth it.
  17. its not a new frame. just wanted to do it to make the frame look cleaner. now it seems like not such a fresh idea haha.
  18. thinking of running my cables through my frame and grinding off the cable guides etc. is drilling 2 holes in the frame a good idea? will it effect the strength of the frame?
  19. im buying a second hand frame, which has been stripped, helicoiled, and then stripped again haha. ill just grind off the 4 bolt mounts and run dual disc,
  20. ahhh bugger. disc all round it is.. Thanks people. cant believe i wasted a whole hour on that haha.
  21. oh cheers man. whats a 2009 neon bow made out of? lol
  22. http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/rim_brake_spares/magura_brazeon_adaptors_and_bolts/c5p11051.html I will be getting some of these in the next 3-4 days. does anyone know how to put them on? it says braze-on. but i always thought that brazing steel and aluminium together was one of the hardest things to do?? anyone used these before? if so how did you do it? and what brazing rods do i need to buy? any help will be immensely appreciated. been looking on google for about an hour and got nowhere. carl.
  23. im complete opposite, i start out really tired and crap, then eventually once im warmed up and the buzz is going i get better and better, can do longer lines etc. red bull and peanut m&m's help too. the sugar and e numbers etc.. haha
  24. i wouldnt worry about breaking the wheel mate, worry about touching the wheel on any part of your body! lol it should have a screw on handle and a on off switch, always wear safety goggles, i got a bit of slag (hot metal) in my eye and it canes! you never think its gonna happen to you but it will eventually trust me. basically turn it on, kneel on the wheel and grind away, grind in one direction and keep it nice and even, keep the angle of the angle grinder the same so you get a nice grind all the way round. id get your parents to do it though, it says on your profile your 13, and the last thing you wanna do is to lose a finger or 2. i'm sure your dad will do it for you and teach you. ive had a few near misses and a tool as dangerous as an angle grinder will cause massive problems if not used properly. lastly always set it down disc facing up, if it somehow flicks on with disc down it can spin up, jump and possible hit whoever is near it. bars attached to the stem? really? id recommend the echo tr bars, very light and wide, give loadsa' control. but they're like £45. maybe look for some second hand try-all bars.
