  1. well, tarty sell steel echo crank bolts, which i might have to buy, as i cant get hold of any 15mm bolts, and even if i did get a bolt, the threads are not course, and the 15mm bolt i tried is too, course, it would just knacker the bottom bracket, thanks for the help everyone, much appreciated
  2. there are some special clamps that tartybikes sell in a magura bleed kit which makes things a whole lot easier http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/rim_brake_spares/magura_hose_clamping_blocks/c5p10026.html you clamp the hose into these clamps in a vice and just tap the barbed fitting in
  3. i tried the block of wood thing when i rang tartybikes, and that didnt work either, but then it was too late to ring them back about it, ill try, i think the bolts are 14 or 15 mm
  4. yeah i know and no i dont, i dont have any steel bolts that size either to run down the thread the threads look fine though :/ i can at first, like a little bit, and no it isn't doing that, :/
  5. not good quality, sorry, but hope it will help
  6. Picture quality makes it look worse than than it is sorry for the really bad quality!
  7. i just screwed them in and you could tell something was wrong, they shouldn't be stripped/cross threaded because the other day i just took them out to get some borrowed crank arms off and to put some other ones and, and they wouldn't go in, just took the thread off half of the alloy crank bolts, they started to strip when i tried putting them in, maybe the start of the thread has gone in the bottom bracket spindle or something?
  8. yeah i took the cranks off and tried it, and they are the same crank bolts as what ive had before :/ should i clean the threads a bit more with a wire brush or something?
  9. and they wont sponsor you if they know you are threatening me over facebook
  10. so i got some crank bolts off Dave Barrat today, appreciate it Dave! but they wont screw in, my old ones did exactly the same and stripped, i dont want to strip the new ones, and they will still not go in? i have used copper grease, cleaned the thread in the bottom bracket bracket, all threads look fine, any one have any solutions? i dont want to waste another set of crank bolts!
  11. i ordered some bits of tarty the other week, ordered them at about dinner time, came 2 days later, is that good service? might make a topic EDIT: sorry to take the piss Callum

  15. a video should be how the riders/makers want it too be, not how other people want it, good video, this is what riding is all about, having fun with your mates!
  16. most people who are sponsored today are insane, but being sponsored wont make you ride any better
