  1. aye im too honest for my own good lol, I dont see the point of missleading people or lying, this way people know exactly where they stand. The ptice i got it for does not determin its value, thats not how depreciation works. The bike is worth its money and like you say i just want the money back it owes me. I had said on another thread that i got the lad down to £450 after haggling, im not going to lie and say i paid the lad £480 for it, even if it has cost me that, cost me more actually as i had to buy the missus dinner Hi RobinJI, cheers fella, the wrist will heal but will remain broken with loss of some range of movement in the thumb, should be easy enough tolive with they have said, i can get cortizone injections if it continues to hurt but they said they hurt like a bitch to get, opperating to join the broken bit really is a last resort and they dont want to do it for my sake incase i loose more than the use of my thumb, sucks a bit but as long as i can still ride my full sus when im healed then i wont be that bothered, if i cant then i will be pretty damned upset
  2. correct, the asking price was £580, i go the lad to sell it to me after much bartering for £450 as it was going to cost another £30 fuel to collect it, im just being honest about the cost of it and the fact i want to get back what it has cost me (its 4 month old, bought from tarty bikes) and i only got to ride it once, if you would rather oay me £580 feel free its not that hard to comprehend really
  3. EDIT*** Well my wrist is broke and they dont want to opperate to fix it as it might destroy all my tendons or ligaments, I will have a tendon/ligament broke off the bone where it attaches with a little bit of bone on it, would be risky to opperate so they have to leave it unless theres no other option, its unlikely that i will be able to ride a trials bike due to the preassures etc, what a fugger!!! so im going to have to sell. Bike was up for £580, i got it down to £450 and cost me £30 in fuel to collec so im selling for £480, will put an add up soon, it takes me ages to type lol
  4. cool, will try that out, cheers guys.I wont be on the echo for a couple of weeks as ive smashed both my wrists, left ones knackerd, hit a massive boulder head on today going flat out down hill on the trails, it was followed by some amazing air time and a not to graceful slam back down to earth, was doing the black at Kirroughtree, my local patch, i should know better. My mate taco'd his front wheel and smashed his wrist and shoulder too, one of them days that what happens when your being wreckless
  5. Well i collected my first trials bike yesterday, had a wee shot of it today practicing trackstands and back hops, alot harder than it looks lol. I find it harder to track stand on this than my MTB, i guess it will just take a bit of getting used to, well here it is EDIT*** Well my wrist is broke and they dont want to opperate to fix it as it might destroy all my tendons or ligaments, I will have a tendon/ligament broke off the bone where it attaches with a little bit of bone on it, would be risky to opperate so they have to leave it unless theres no other option, its unlikely that i will be able to ride a trials bike due to the preassures etc, what a fugger!!! so im going to have to sell. 6. nope, got a 4 month old echo lite, a couple of scratches but it will do me fine
  7. right i see, i dont know much about trials at the moment, but that all makes sense, saints are great, got them on my wolfridge for aggressive riding, aswesome bite as you say, good modulation too. Would you say Trials brakes are designed to have less modulation?
  8. nice one thanks, im not too bad at track stands as i use them when out on my mtb, yeah i need to sort the brakes out, its Echo Dual discs, im not sure if its the same bleed kit as avid/formula, seems to be a closed bleed as opposed to the likes of hopes from what ive read, will have a better look today when i get the chance
  9. As the title might suggest, i am a complete beginner, ive got my bike and i want to start learning, had a wee shot of it tonight and im amazingly useless, brakes feel like they need a bleed though, but im not blaming that for my complete lack of skills, so chaps, where do i start?
  10. well ive bit the bullet, got a bike tonight, will get to try it tomorrow, just need to learn how to ride it now lol
  11. mee too, it went everywhere
  12. aye that is a good point, i wont be dropping off any buildings anytime soon lol
  13. well the point for me is to learn additional skills to compliment my usual riding
  14. Hi Carl, cheers for the input fella
  15. can anyone else elaborate on what would be the better bike as i need to bite the bullet soon and could do with advice of more experienced people such as your selvs, ive tried to find reviews, not so easy on trials stuff. 1) echo lite 2011,almost mint, 4 month old bought from tarty bikes. £450 2) onza comp 09, upgraded hub and other bits, signs of normal use. £300 3) Onze comp 2011, in very good condition bar a broken lever. £300 4) Onza T-mag 2008, pretty much mint £300 5) Bionic B2, age unknown, custom build with decent parts, owner reckons spec comes in at about £1200, has normal wear and tear. £400 cheers scott
  16. why so, what is it that makes a trials disc brake different?
  17. ive seen a few on pinkbike and gumtree, there was koxx level boss on PB and a MAD ph 1.1 on gumtree, nearly mint for £150, wont post it though
  18. yeahi was wondering the same thing, if it comprimises the integrity of the rim
  19. might seem like a daft question but does anyone on trials run tubeless or do they burp too much?
  20. aye just unsure what to get, have got it down to 3 choices, a Pro, a T-mag or the Echo lite, they all have pros and some cons as far as im aware, ive been trying to find reviews but it seems pretty scarce with Trials stuff, much easyer to get reviews for MTB, im guessing its because Trials is a bit less popular and more speciffic
  21. so what your saying is you cant get it out?
  22. aye its a full build, been offered one thats 4 month old for £450, would blow my budget to bits though, looks nice but to be honest im not that keen on buying something that the rest of the componants aint that great on, been offered a Onza comp asking price £300 with some upgraded bits or a T-mag which is mint for £300, trying to find out if the Echo is the best option? Re the brakes, i facey sticking some shimmy SLX on, ive got the XT on my blue pig and they are awsome, got saints on my wolfridge too, shimano make excellent brakes imo
  23. whats the general oppinion on the Echo lite? also would i need a new set of cranks to run a bash ring? **EDIT** I have got it down to a list of 5 bikes, which would be the best buy 1) echo lite 2011,almost mint, 4 month old bought from tarty bikes. £400
