  1. Anyone have a good wheelchair recommendation?

don't you get one from the nhs if you need one? or are you planning something fun...

not an insult but 'Spaz' make some good ones apparently. My mum's old boss used to have one after his motorcycle crash and could wheelie it for ages. He also set off a speeding camera with it apparently...

  2. If you ride well, then all is forgiven. But if you did ride well, you would not ask this kind of question.
  3. I would never wear any brand names unless I was specifically paid to do so. f**k I even take the echo sticker off my frames.
  4. How would you feel when people expect you to ride like Danny Mac and they get disappointed? If you really want an energy drink branded helmet, http://www.jensonusa.com/Fox-Rockstar-Transition-Helmet-12
  5. I just found that I can't get any future replacement for my Echo urban rear rim now All these light weight parts are great, but there should still be options available for people who don't want to replace parts that often, and just set up and forget. I could go with Trialtech rims, but I find that they don't hold grinds very well, and bend easy. Urban rims were awesome :/ Do you think we'll be forced to use single wall rear rims from now on?
  6. Let me just get a few things straight here: I'm not interested in bashing tarty give any bad rep for them. I did have good luck with tarty in the past and until now. I made this thread after I talked to them, and after I got a message it can't be warrantied. I wanted to see if asking for a replacement for a leaking bottle that was bought a month ago was that bizarre of a request. All in all, I just want a water bottle that won't wet my shirt when I drink from it. It's not a big deal if I have to get another one, but I am still sensible with spending my money
  7. I have to wait another week for the package to arrive?

  8. I should add it is this product I bought http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/trinkets/hope_water_bottle/c52p11330.html
  9. So I get a Hope water bottle from Tarty a month ago. It leaked a bit but I thought, whatever it was going to be mounted on xc bike, little bit of leak is still usable. Now after about 3 weeks, it leaks at the junction between top and bottle whenever I drink from it. I realized it is a clear defect and I tried talking to tartybikes about the leaking bottle and apparently it can't be warrantied. Sure a water bottle might not be that big of a deal, but it is a big deal if Tarty won't admit it's a manufacturer defect and tells me that I don't know how to use a water bottle. I will add that in the past three and a half years of using Tarty, I have had good experience with them but what kind of loyal customer would I be if I don't let them know when they screw up?
  10. Has anyone taken first year stats in UBC Vancouver? I want would like to hear some reviews

  11. You know you are getting old when you aren't the youngest in group rides anymore.

  12. I recently switched from Rockman Carbon bar to Trialtech High Rise on my 2009 Zoo Piranha. I have Trialtech forged stem 120 x 17 So with the trialtech high rise, it is much more comfortable riding around from spots to spots. But other than that, I don't feel much difference in actual trials. I lunge, side hop, and pedal up about the same. I've been riding this bar for two weeks now. What I'm worried is, I think this bar is designed for either super high bb comp bikes or Street Trials bikes, which my 09 Piranha is neither. Is this bar too high for my frame? I will add the pictures of my bike with the rockman carbon bar and Trialtech high rise. First two are with Rockman bar Last two are with Trialtech High Rise.
  13. I just snapped my rear cog, and now I'm super paranoid about my creaking bar and fork :(

  14. Just broke a rear cog today.. I'm not sure which cog this is but it looks like Trialtech Lite Splined? Anyways, now I know cog isn't the place to save too much weight. Now I need recommendation for a cog with wide base and won't snap.
  15. I should probably preload more.

  16. Yup I have my bike back, but I was more interested in getting people responsible more than my bike, if you know what I mean
  17. That means - Low resale value for the thief But more importantly - If they are caught with ground off bb shell bike, it will be obvious and that will be a proof that they are the thieves.
  18. Okay so I had my bike stolen from my garage about a month ago. http://www.observedt...ead.php?t=46317 Then 2 days ago, I find this scatch ad on NSMB http://buysell.nsmb....ust-sell&cat=14 Straight away I recognized that it has to be stolen because - Unreasonably low price - Can't provide real pictures - Can't provide specs - The past sell history of the seller. Yesterday, I met up with the seller(Thief), And of course it was my stolen Zoo Piranha I told them it was my stolen bike and showed them the photos of my bike that I took before it was stolen, they let go of the bike and I had my Zoo back. I went to the police today and because there is no registration number; there is not enough proof for me to send them to jail. All my riding friends know its my bike, I know I have past pictures of the bike for comparison. But it's still quite impossible for prosecution. Trials bikes obviously aren't custom handbuilt, and definitely not Deng frames. So why not put some f**king numbers on the bb shell so I can send those f**kers to jail?
  19. I've swallowed way too many bugs riding trails today.

  20. Maybe I should start running more now

  21. http://www.pinkbike.com/buysell/1078186/ It is a new bike for $800 CAD One thing I'm not sure about is that the frame is extremely light at around 1500g, my last bike was a 2009 Zoo Piranha which was light but fairly strong. I do like light bikes, but I'm also tight on budget, so I don't want to get a bike that would break after a few months Do you think this frame would be strong enough? I don't go big or anything, but I tend to ride a same bike for at least 2-3 years. Also, Echo brakes, how are they? I remember hearing they leak and don't work well on the forums. Can I get some reviews on the newer echo brakes?
  22. Has anyone tried the 26 Element yet? I would love to hear what you think about it. The only thing I don't like is the 390mm chain stay which I think is a tad long, but other than that it seems like a good deal?
  23. Can you tell me what seat this is and where I could buy this?
  24. I'm building a Hex right now, and I can't decide what tires I should go for. I realize a lot of people use holy rollers for street trials, but it weighs in at 800 grams?? Even though it is 'street trials' I will still gap to sharp concrete ledges, and I know any sub 1000 grams tire will be absolute shit for pinch flats. Although I do like the tread pattern and the durometer on holy roller. One other option would be Larsen double ply http://www.tartybike...tt/c33p274.html but it is 2.35 sizing What kind of option do I have if I want thick sidewall but the tread pattern of a holy roller?
