  1. Any personal best is good! Just keep doing what you are doing and you will be surprised how far you will evetually get
  2. No try out needed, just wanted opinions of loads of riders. It's the best way to find out stuff.
  3. Need pads urgently so want to no what all of you think is the best pad, with a grind.
  4. Nice pics jake, can't wait to ride here
  5. wWll i put it together, but noticed where my spokes snapped before the rim has got some cracks, so time to bin it and get a new one, but i have a profile hub (36 spoke) and finding a rim available for that is a nightmare, tarty dont have the try-all one in stock. And 4 cross is a nightmare if you snap a spoke as can't just take it out and add a new one, as the spokes cross over the hub, so i will be asking for a 3 cross next time. I do appreciate all the comments though.
  6. Ah ok, thanks for the reply. So i basically start lacing the same but when i come to adding the second set i go over 3 and under the 4th spoke? As opposed to over 2 and under the third for a 3 cross?
  7. Ive got some spokes from tartybikes for my profile hub and echo urban rim, ive got 177 length spokes and its circled as 4 cross. I can build wheels but don't no how to lace up a 4 cross, there's only tutorials on 3 cross. But when looking around online most people are saying that 4 cross is mainly used for 48 spoke wheels and it puts to much stress on the spokes. So im told to try 3 cross but don't want to waste my time as spokes could be too long? And if 4 cross is good then why is there nothing online to show how it's done? Any comments welcome as i wana get it sorted and ride!
  8. Im nearly 28 and started when i was 15. Bike i started on was a 19 inch giant frame with a 2 ring rockring! Ive been doing it on and off and i regret not sticking with it as i was fairly good when i was 17, ( i then had a proper trials bike) monty x hydra mod. As long as you enjoy it its never too late!
  9. I would also say, once moving the lever across so that your index finger is at the end of the lever, if it still slips on everything you do, then maybe you need to set the brakes up better, and then possibly getting a grind on the rim or put a small amount of tar on the rim. depends what pads your running if you go for a grind.
  10. Is this sam kiddie on fb? He was down again the other night but couldn't stay long, but would be worth getting him on fb or his mobile. Always welcoming more trials riders down to ride with us. This is Grant by the way, one who rode the onza ice 2.
  11. Hey Danny it's Grant, finally signed up to the forum, lol. I wrote a little note with the signature and on Worthings Facebook wall. Made a point of how there's 3 skateparks within 14 miles, (Worthing, Brighton and Shoreham) but where is the local trials park? And the fact i've been riding on and off since 1998/99 shows there are plenty of people who would use this park. Will help any way i can mate, as i'm sure others will too. And for those of you who don't know where Worthing is, it's on the south coast 13 or so miles West of Brigton
