  1. as usual, crack starting at a weld, after being invisible and under the surface hfor ages it became visible just before snapping. its aluminium, its always like that
  2. cmon, dont get your funny moment, mate. imo the most abusive situation for a disc brake is hanging on the edge of something trying to bounce yourself up-backwards force ahoy
  3. didnt you say the same about my pads?
  4. see, personal preference at its best right here i have to keep my bars rolled back all the way because of my wrist damage,so i end up trying mod stems and stuff to compensate for the reach. edit:just realised my bike looks so weird on photo with that setup, doesnt it haha
  5. ah,they arrived already? interesting,i know the spanish postal services as pretty lazy normally. you are spanish, you know what "mańana" means haha edit:okay, just firgured you meant to try the kolophonium
  6. halflink chains suck for trials anyways. to be honest every single kmc chain i used so far had massive stretch over weeks, sometimes months. dont know why, just was this way
  7. kolophonium, yep! have that stuff layingaround as well as tar,but since i run my own pads i never had the need to put it on
  8. the way he^ put that out again, well.but in general heś right
  9. thehihopsoldier pretty much got it right, but have to agree with adam too. more slave pistons mean more power if the master piston remains the same. just force>>surface>>>pressure>>>surface>>>force if you look at the hydraulic system.but levers are a factor too. but most brakes change master piston diameter according to how much slaves there are,so the power isnt thaaaat much more (sure is in most cases but not by times)but the modulation is increasing, because you have "steps" in the power diagram.the pistons move out depending on how you pull the lever and how far and so on. hydraulic brakes arent really a simple press, with multipiston systems and features like servo wave a lot of factors come into play
  10. mates and me in munich city today, big fun... edit: just seen the above post grrrr nah, theyll perform mate,me and robert on the yellow magellan in that vid here both have trimps on

seems like he shared the mobile link
  12. if it wasnt bundles with the "cycle to work" thing i'd choose a selfbuilt ss mtb over a complete bike allday everyday
  13. the first thing i spied were the trimps youre running on the rear brake, the second that your colour scheme is lovely except for the cranks and pads might have to make you some red ones eh?
  14. i remove my rearwheel every...well every puncture or worn tyre.means every half year or something
  15. looks pretty nice! if it was mine i'd shorten the chain by a pair of links and put brakes on though
  16. as far as i remember shimano does rate their brakes in a range from -20 to+50 degrees (okay, high load testing is going to boil the oil,but as an average for the working temp) any colder will make the seals harder, making the pads return slow. but:dont know if 5° would make the difference as so often, pointless post haha
  17. you could ask the same about brakeless riding being trials at all imo ready for shitstorm in 3...2...1
