  1. the whole bike looks great, like that very much. only thing is i wouldnt trust the rear rotor
  2. please dont call em rockpads, you know why
  3. i forgot my cam,so i had to use my phone.next time in hd
  4. update:first proper ride with the new compound. maggie 05,2 bolt booster, echo clamps, echo backings.my pads. needed a few more drags to bed in,then honked right away.they now make a sound like an elephant thats being castrated without narcotica, bite is amazing(best ever for me),hold is pretty good considering the state my rim´s in,dead grind with a slight rest of old tar. slipped once on an edge i jumped on the wrong way intentionally, but only a few mm. does anyone need some 1/3 worn cousts,i have no use for other pads than my compound anymore. next plan:cnc guy makes bigger mould, pads galore!
  5. interesting lecture regarding this would be from Ulrich Stangier and David M. Clark, theres a book about social phobia from them. jung, freud and so on would be more analytic (development of the human mind and evolution of it)approaches and wouldnt fit the bill here imo
  6. that is called social phobia and is likely for persons that are working or living in isolation. force yourself to get out and to places where you´ll see/speak to many people,or you have a chance of it becoming a chronic desease. no joke,i absolutely know what youre talking about
  7. if you cover postage after waiting for a few weeks to let me finish my testing a pair is yours, dave. i´ll swap them for my warning point hahah
  8. ride with a mate,testing new pads(win),having a few beers.great day!

  9. thanks a lot, will ride them for a few rides and update here if anything unexpected happens,or not.
  10. yeeeeessss,i got it right,yaaaay!!!!!!!!1!!!one! rode down the street a few minutes ago, bedding in the proto pads, with a sudden "honk" sound in my ears and a thought: "why the f*ck do these selfmade pads outperform my cousts i rode just an hour ago, without even being bedded in???" i´m having a beer now,i so totally deserve a few!
  11. not really,i just wanted to give em this "crash test" look and had no yellow marker haha if anyone has some old metal backings laying around i´d more than apprechiate them for the mould i´ll probably get someone to 3d laserprint me one
  12. hey guys, been a while! first, has anyone had some success with his pads yet? second,i proudly present the first crash test dummies of my new batch. they are great consistency-wise,exactly like my viz pads. just need some test backings and a test ride
  13. didnt this guy play an alien in a movie(i mean the alien meme guy obviously) ?
  14. some guy who was selling one advertized it as 1996 onza t-pro if i´m right youre riding a collectors item mate
  15. i think it comes from trials riding, thats why all you guys experienced it joking
  16. haha this vids just brilliant! and as mentioned before,it works
  17. you could put a, like 300mm one in that bike, but that would rider pretty cruiser-like when fully extended. or a telescopic one.
  18. looks decent, except the seats angle
  19. http://videos.mtb-news.de//videos/view/34848 http://videos.mtb-news.de//videos/view/34847 sorry i cant be arsed to upload it to yt,but theyre watchable on mtb-news.de as well gap up from me (like 40-50cm,not the kind of guy who has a tape measure with him lol) gap from my mate rob, about 160cm (he quit riding for the last 3 years and started again less than half a year ago)
  20. top of or underside of the spacer? was running stacker tower once and had the spacers rub on each other, was exactly that noise
  21. anyone tried the newer sram cranks like the x5? they look beefier like shimanos
  22. it just feels more precise, whereas a v always felt slacker (makes sense) for me.just need that punching feeling.think thats the reason for most maggie users (when maggies where trials brakes) to each their own i think but on topic, snapping lever blades are seriously bad stuff if you ask me,all the older maggies werent designed for trials either and held up to it.
  23. ali has a point right there, v-brakes have more overall power, maggies just have a better bite.
