  1. you didnt get my email? yesterday our post "office" (basically a counter in the local supermarket) was closed right before i arrived, due to my working times. the first 3 frames will be posted tomorrow at 13h,will sacrifice my lunch break for you guys haha.
  2. for those who are interested,it actually worked
  3. no its different stuff,4 frames of which i shouldnt talk because theyre custom and 2 polo frames. and corresponding forks for most of them. write me a pm if you have questions regarding this
  4. pretty big crate for 6 frames and 5 forks, but oh well, shipping costs per volume now and from 0.5m³ upwards its getting cheaper for some weird reason lol on an airplane right now
  5. ^^haha, thanks, didnt even take the kind of metal into account,my comment was meant for steel alloys obviously
  6. hardening starts at 723 and goes up to 989°C.you´ll be fine with a heat gun even the lower alloy steels (marinos "carbon steel") would temper at 360° upwards.
  7. walking by foot lead to parkour, thats natural selection, its all ending up with us
  8. just realized my error,i am too familiar with lengths my frames have, i confused the 36x range with the 35x
  9. according to tartys chainstay chart you´ll end up having 22:18 with the freewheel on the rear and a fixed 22t sprocket up front.
  10. a chunk of aluminium along with a cheese knife maybe
  11. he´s on vacation, yes. insomnias and some other peoples frames were delayed because we´ll use a new shipping method for the first time.as this only is cheap when sending big packages all frames which go to germany come together.all customers involved agreed, and if this turns out as it should the new shipping times should go to around a week, while costing half the shipping fees. marino´s building up kind of a little distribution network at the moment, there will be importers for different countries or at least europe soon, hopefully. but lets wait how this turns out,too soon to make defiinite comments
  12. i just came here to see if there´s the same amount of pants jokes about this vid here than on german forum. i see,i see to be honest, riding´s great, but that "look at me" style isnt my thing really.it all has that egomanic touch. no offence taken dude, nonetheless a good vid ridingwise
  13. marino´s improving quite a lot recently.new shipping carrier takes a week or so.promising things going on

  14. we dont really know each other, but anyways:happy birthday dude!
  15. i think our first world societies do things on a daily basis that lead to poor people dying in other countries. the aluminium frames produced in china/on taiwan are provoking production workers lungs to develop fatal deseases every day. all due to the fact their safety rules are low,due to the prices needing to be cheap, due to us not wanting to pay more money for stuff. the actual question should be,should we STOP letting someone die through doing what we love, invest in craftmanship instead of mass production? because we all are already doing what you mentioned in your op
  16. in that vid i´ve only seen that it isnt trued properly. was that truing stand centered? in that case you´d have 8-10mm offset,i would say that wheel isnt laced properly. how are the spokes sitting in the nipples, seen from above the rim/nipples? are they poking out/even/uneven? edit:and what bing said.
  17. erm,the wheels dishing isnt related to the axle width,if an axle is mounted the correct way the rim is in the same location as before.if its out that much it isnt laced properly. sorry to say, mate only other thing i can imagine is you need other spacers for the new axle, maybe they got swapped unintentionally?
  18. jaf version (A) no hating,i just came here at a random "checking new topics" thing and was in a joke mood
  19. well, you´ll need a longer spring as you cant keep the u-turn thingy that sits on the spring when converting it,but thats easy as,just pull the whole thing out in 140mm position and measure it to get the right size spring. when installing the new spring, just pump a mouthful of 10wt in there to assure its lubricated and cant loose air into the bottom of the legs
  20. you actually can convert that model pike to air spring, you´ll only struggle to get tha parts by now. also if you get a longer spring and a normal, air valve topcap you would be at 140 all the time and having air assist and you could get the newer motion control unit with the clicky dial and do an "impact mod",if youre going to jump a lot
  21. its not that i´d recommend putting sex related lubricants into your brake. but i´d strongly recommend not to put brake fluids onto your genitals. just a tip
  22. every single marzocchi fork uses 7.5wt fork oil. to only change the oil just unscrew the topcap at the spring side first, take the spring out.(or the air spring pistons if an air fork) pump the oil out while holding the forks upside down, measure the amount of oil that came out. do the same with the damper side(notice that in many cases you cant remove the topcap completely on the damper side, due to the "cap" being attached to the dampers piston rod. add 2-5ml each side when refilling it,for the oil you lost during emptying but yeah, for a complete stripdown youll need to know the model. i´d guess its a 44 TST2 (or LO).2009 or so edit:should look something like that inside: http://www.mountainbikes.net/mtbikes/marzocchisk44microti140mm2010_b.png and to service that fork shouldnt be much different to this: http://www.pinkbike.com/news/Tech-Tuesday-Change-the-Seals-and-Fluid-of-Your-Marzocchi-44-For.html
