  1. thats what i meant haha,he just didnt point that out so it read a bit confusing
  2. i have a little problem where my theorethical knowledge about bicycles reached its limit,as i just cant explain it to myself. sometimes riding feels completely different to the setup you figured out to be making sense on my bike i am running a syntace stem with 120x20 atm, myreach is at 655mm,and due to wrist problems i have to use street handlebars aligned to the head tube angle,my wrists just cant take any upsweep over the horizontal. rode during the whole year with that setup, everything was awesome, only my riding style got a bit more backwheel related now. while the bike is great for street its a little bit uncomfortable on the rear wheel, and its not the geo,cs,bb and reach are in trials terrain. so its possible to get more trials out of my geo(was the plan when it was designed though),but i can only find stems with 25-40 degrees rise, which leads me to the first question: do long steep stems feel more roomy to ride, despite the fact theyre only higher seen in a sidewiew of the bike?doesnt it change the whole way you´d have to stand on the bike? a 150x30 is pretty much the same horizontal reach, but higher: as you see, just the height has changed, but the horizontal reach hasnt. does that feel longer on the rear wheel? second question is directly related, did anyone change from low stem to high stem and can tell me about the difference? a procraft 130x17 would stretch my reach a bit without changing the height, experiences with that kind of stem, opinions on the geo? winters time, means all my effort is going into next years setup,so i want to figure that out until the weather gets better, and i dont want to buy 3+stems to achieve this... never rode mod stems or such,so kinda need help with how they´d feel like advice would be much aprechiated guys´n girls thanks in advance peter
  3. that wasnt gapping that was gaping lol are you alright?
  4. kind of girls leggins,i thought. stylewise the force you have to use ,young modrider. (yoda style)
  5. i think we pointed cleric the way to being someone who actually wants to understand things, which imo is a good thing. stay on that road man! forgot the "massive" reach (for a streety bike though) of the arcade, actually it should work on the rear wheel that way
  6. we got a dude in the german forum,he´s pretty much our rusevelt and comes up with a vidstorm every other week. heres what he found today
  7. definitely, reach makes the difference.but if you got a longer wheelbase and the reach is the same your headangle could come out way slacker=bike less responsive on 2 wheels dont know how the headtube angles are on mods typically, but for example if a frame has 0.5° steeper hta and the rest of the geo stays the same the reach will be like 8-10mm longer
  8. whats the problem with your geo? as youve been asking that 175mm crank question recently,do you feel cramped at all when riding? how would you like your bikes behaviour to be changed? complete geo and stem/bars setup would be helpful, especially the reach of your frame, which has more influence than the wheelbase
  9. an honest mistake...that was awesome and weird weirdsome
  10. with a low bb and a short cs length it actually shouldnt be good on the rear wheel for static stuff
  11. flip to front from the big bowlish quarter up to the platform was sick, also those whip flairs!
  12. hobby rider, not too bad,but could be better. half of the forum doesnt like me for the posts i made, the other half are intelligent people har.
  13. i think shielding our kids just makes things worse.i mean, they shouldnt watch matrix with 8yrs or something, sure, but generating an artificial heal world around them where noone and nothing is bad will just make them being thrown into cold water when the time comes to stand on their own feet. i´d rather allow my son to know things society would point their fingers on me for than having him being shocked about the reality later. includes things like religion etc for example, things he could be easily blinded by later, if he wouldnt know... (no trolling here please, opposite to being a weird one on here sometimes i think i am a pretty decent dad )
  14. -"women just cant listen properly" -"no we are not!"

  16. cheapo ebay helicoil set is around 12 gbp just follow my second link tap it ONLY with the tool in the set, only this gives the right bore diameter for the coils
  17. normally thicker things give better feelings,at least my wife said she wouldnt rant :wink2:
  18. awesome, seen that on the ispo bike
  19. as every value effects the other and vice versa its not that easy. the easiest way is to figure out what you´d like a certain geo, you´ve been riding with, to ride like in the future. go on from things you know. if you have a certain geo and just change one value because the overall feeling is good and you´d just like a certain behaviour of your bike to be changed, you´ll be closer to a sweet spot than if you throw geo values together that give this or that in properties for theirselves, but not in relation to the rest of the geo. know what i mean?
  20. woah, not on one bike,at least not over a certain extent in every genre. in every discipline you mentioned there would have to be big restrictions in what you can do. get a street trials bike that suits you well and build yourself a hardtail fr bike,i´d say...
