didnt i pm you about that? geo itself isnt an issue if you were to choose from off-the-shelf-frames,all good manufacturers made their homework and got riders feedback,so theres nothing to go really wrong with if you know you ride street,comp or else. tell yourself a question,aimed on a geo youve ridden and know how it handles: what kind of moves is it bad for,or good for?how would you change the BEHAVIOUR of the bike if you could just tell it to do so? then changes to make get more obvious,dont fix yourself on the values so much

yes,but as i said thats measured with a ns rns fork,thats 420mm aprox. would come out as +4/74.2° out of my head if you ran an inspired fork ns website: Geometry with 485mm axle to crown fork (~100mm travel) - head tube angle: 26” & 24”: 70° - seat tube angle: 26” & 24”: 74.5° - bb height: 26” & 24”: +31mm - wheel base: 26”: 1018mm, 24”: 993mm Geometry with 420mm axle to crown fork (RNS rigid fork) - head tube angle: 26” & 24”: 73.5° - seat tube angle: 26” & 24”: 78° - bb height: 26” & 24”: +9mm - wheel base: 26”: 986mm, 24”: 961mm the other thing is where you´d put your brakes at if you were going to ride street trials on that one,only has upside down v-mounts,sucks for trials edit:argh!u-brake mounts!

thats completely different in terms of geo. ns frames are designed around a fork with at least 420-435mm length

same as the fourplay of the same year,exept 5mm chainstay length difference. out of my head like 1040/+35/380/73° they were run with forks with more rake though,to gain more wheelbase someone else should know that exactly

^^thats what i meant with"prepared for".you basically have a tool in the set to tap the hole the insert is going into,then use another tool to insert the insert. and that could be seen as the problem :your wall thickness of the surrounding material looks pretty thin on the inner side....

i think even in this thread there were a few,but everybody shoots pics his own way,most homemade photos look way better than the commercial pics to me

helicoils are basically a threaded insert,for which the frames old mounting holes have to be prepared first. i´d strongly recommend using "TIMESERT",made better experience with that in our workshop

woarrr,hate it when this happens. last week a kid ran towards me and said he wants a trials bike too,made me so happy. couldnt imagine someone to know it isnt a bmx after all those random people calling my bike one

kind of understand your point,but why should ross or leon be seen as related to any posts i made/make, i am an individual,i am not to be seen as a team rider,i am just a massive fan of marinos work and maybe a light version of clerictgm in terms of "products should be cheap and strong preferably". i dont see a point in my posts making marino a bad reputation either,everyone i know who has bought a marino so far was happy with it for years,and i think people should re-think if theyre individual too,or just floating with the masses.i am a single guy that has his opinions,the combination with being a friend of marino seems misleading for people to take my arguments as the brands opinion,which is just wrong! i´ve read few posts in a bmx forum a few months ago for example,a team rider of a famous brand (same league as wtp and stuff) has posted stuff i never could leave the house again for,and who blamed the brand? nobody. thats some kind of tf phenomenon i think. as for the weight thing(and now i´ll say that in "smack a mates shoulder and say:" way,so no pun intended),that was kind of your fault then,1.8kg for a street frame is in a range where its kind of fragile already. if you did the same stuff on that one like on the old marino you had back i the days its not a big surprise,probably the marino died the same way. hope my point is a bit clearer now,and really sorry your topic went that way due to me making that post. and flipp,if you read this:i didnt mean this personal in any way.heat of the moment thing

i´d recommend using a good brakebooster instead of the included one,makes that flexy evo mounts waaaay stiffer

i apologize for being like that,it was just the fact that if something like the jaf thing happens,noone is talking about it(or did you read something other than trials-mikeys frame being rewelded by mr booth?),whereas only one big thing has gone wrong with marino months ago and people still rant and troll about it. i felt the need of keeping it balanced,didnt do myself a favour though maybe. need to let go more with such things,who even cares about now... sorry folks,honestly
