    Ali C Vlog

I've been watching trial videos for 15 years now and those vlogs made quite an impression to me. I appreciate much when there's an opportunity to know more about trials, I mean in depth, such as with the Tribalzine interviews. Vlogs represent a step further towards this direction. I feel know, with these 4 videos only, that I know you 1000x better than Gilles Coustellier for instance, even if I've been following him for more than a decade. I encourage you to keep on producing these vlogs. Being able to hear your thoughts is just great. Just a last word, please pay attention to the sound quality (that's an unusual request I guess), as a non native english speaker I sometimes struggle with understanding what you say.
  2. Really appreciated this clip ! Super nice filming (no headcut, that's rare), edit, music choice, did u do it on your own ? Along with very clean lines. My favorite is at 00:15. Definitely, there's enough riding and editing skill for a proper 3-4min video.

Brillant WTF trial video ! That filming/edit is gorgeous, one of the best work I've seen these last months (maybe years) in trial videos. Looking forward watching your new material.
  4. Awesome vid. On repeat. Even though I find his riding less "technical" than in 'A hill in spain', the quality of the edit/film/music transforms this riding video into a short movie. About the music, James Welsh seems to be the artist chosen in most of Akrigg's videos. I even suppose that the music in produced specially for the video, which would be just great.
  5. U're right. It's more like 'trim the pussy'. It's even worse. Enspeerde.
  6. I'm French and this name sounds OK for me so I'm surprised of your reactions here and on OT. Firs it's quite common now in France to name a new concept (here a new bike) with an English word. No explanation, ask for a linguist. Then, I believe the crewkerz's boss is a DJ. Jealousy is a famous song here from Martin Solveig. Even Crewkerz might be linked to the Italian DJs Crookers. Jealousy, certainly also because as they're quite creative in designing their bikes, they may think the others will be willing to copy them. It is actually quite arrogant, but why not. We definitely need more information about the bike. And a funny story. I used to have a Gu Typhoon 20". If you respect the english pronunciation for Typhoon, it litteraly means in French "Trim the bush". Which is a funny but not appropriate name for a bike.
  7. I think the designers do this on purpose, in order to (1) give a chance to the 'weakest' riders (there's quite a gap between the 1st and the 6th or 8th of the finals) to finish a section (2) include strategy into the race. It is actually quite interesting to read or hear from the champions how the strategy is implied in the race. For instance, the rank of the qualifications is the order of the race, some prefer to start the race to impress the other riders, some prefer to finish in order to see the techniques of the first. Also the rider's team observe the other riders and calculate how many points he needs to win the race. Each year in France after the championship, a short resume of the race (8-9 mins) is broadcasted on a main tv channel. This is quite positive to our sport. Unfortunatly we've seen this video of Vincent Hermance, and another section by Alexis Brunetaud who uses 3 well-thoughts feet... It didn't really look like trials.
  8. He actually run the qualifications, which he's won, but the following day decided to do a show on the Tour de France instead of running the finals. Which was not appreciated by the representatives of the federation present that day, according to Tribalzine. Which sounds weird anyway. Still, Jack vs. Gilles would have been great. Hopefully they'll both attend to the world championship.
  9. I do agree. There's one crazy move and one supergay move. For his defense, this is the last section of the competition : one foot he wins the french championship, 5 he doesn't. What would you choose ? Considering the second place for him doesn't mean anything, and that winning titles is his job. The rule is stupid, but the riders just adapt.
