i think the clip on idea is good, just put them on when working on your brakes and take them back off when you are finished. job done, i would buy them as the saying goes "better to be safe, than sorry" and i know that people say "just dont put your fingers in it" but say you were working on your brakes and your mum/dad/son ect. and you turn around and woops lost your finger
