  1. the forum is like super quick now!

  2. The forum finally seems to be running again at a decent speed! Also, managed to con my mum into getting me a replacement ps3 as mine broke a few days a go (good bye original 40gb from 2006) And I'm really enjoying riding at the moment, found a decent group of guys and it's at least once a week so can't really complain there either
  3. Haha, was a half decent days riding - shame about the crap weather. Paul nailed some awesome lines haha
  4. Riding in shorts in -4? You're either a REAL man or just crazy Decent though, quite liked your style
  5. Anyone riding in/around Worthing this weekend?

  6. Oh right sweet, who was that by, out of interest? I think I'll order the 2012 ones after xmas
  7. I don't understand why you'd post a topic with a question mark in, and then ask no questions. Seems like you are deliberately trying to piss people off
  8. Hahaha, bloody spelling error. Won't change it though cus otherwise your post would look redundant, plus I now make you look funny
  9. Man I hate all this conflicting information hahaha. I'll just buy them and pray to the trails god that they don't snap on my face
  10. Ok cool, cheers guys. I think I'll just get them. 482g lighter than the zoots, that with my TT risers and a 90x35 stem and I'll be a bunny hopping machine
  11. I'm about 10 stone and pretty careful, I don't throw my bike around and I ride within my limits (pretty much still a beginner atm so that's why haha) - I think I'll get them purely because they are lighter than my zoots, personally I don't think I'll have a problem with them but it's just annoying how few 24" forks have V mounts I guess I better start saving up for a front disc
  12. Out of interest, are the 2012's 'snappy'?
  13. Just had a look at all the inspired forks and they are pretty much all disk only - which is really annoying as I like my front Vee's ;( Any other makes? Just because I don't fancy buying new forks AND a whole front disc setup :/
  14. Is the message here; don't buy echo urbans? Because I seriously don't want to buy some and then have them break on me... If that is the message, can some experienced rider advise to me which forks would be more suitable (for a Zoot/any other 24")
  15. So I've watched enough tv shows during Uni to know what I think is good and bad, Basically the best atm are: Dexter, The Walking Dead, Supernatural. Some other good ones: Prison break (Only the first season though), House (up until the 6th season), Weeds (up until the 6th or 7th, cant remember which), Community (absolutely hilarious plus it has Donald Glover aka Childish Gambino in), Parks and Recreation (another comedy that's well worth it), Sons of Anarchy (up until the 4th season) Here's one that hasn't been said and it's highly rated on IMDB... Avatar the Last Airbender (the nickolodeon series) - now everyone might think oh but it's a kids program, well you're wrong. The character development is insane, not to mention the depth of the plot. IMDB gave it 9.1 (there's 4 seasons out btw, it follows the books) It's probably one of my favourite shows ever to have been released. Edit; Forgot about A Town Called Eureka (I think in some countries it's just called Eureka) - absolutely brilliant show, it's geeky and funny which suits me down to a tee really. Also forgot about Band of Brothers, Generation Kill and The Pacific (all 'documentaries' based upon different wars, Band of Brothers is WW2 on V-day, Generation Kill is Iraq and The Pacific is also WW2 but marines in the Pacific Theatre, all directed by Spielberg and narrated by Tom Hanks. If you like/are interested in the military, history of war or just fancy something different from the norm; these series are UTTERLY AMAZING and truly gripping, there are first hand accounts from the soldiers who served there and it's quite heartbreaking at times)
  16. That seems completely illogical, the only reason I can think why a company would do that is that they want a cheaper alternative :/
  17. Sounds like a grade two (partial tear), a grade one wouldn't cause that many problems and a grade three would mean you wouldn't be able to walk even after 3 weeks. I still recommend like 3-5 weeks off mate otherwise you risk going back too early and doing it again, or tearing it completely. If you can find the time, you are going to want to do some rehab, nothing strenuous but some walking in comfortable + supportive shoes will help, then you are going to want to do some stretching as well, really light stretching more to just mobilise the ankle more than anything. Going swimming will help, as it will mean you can do a lot more exercises and not have to worry about too much weight on the ankle (again though, nothing serious). It's important you do some rehab exercises for it though because a partial tear will mean that there is now scar tissue which is brittle and completely unflexible - not what you want in your ankle especially for a trials rider. Doing the rehab will help remove the scar tissue and strengthen the ligament. I'd start it halfway through this week (weds/thurs probably). Please be careful though cus it's still prone to injury. Hope this helps mate, if you have any more questions you can always PM me
  18. Ok, well there are a few ligaments in your ankle and I'm assuming that you're relatively fit and healthy and that the grade of the tear isn't too serious then I'd say between 3-5 weeks. That's assuming the grade of the tear isn't serious though, how much pain is there? Swelling? and is it weight bearing? (i.e can you walk on it ok?)
  19. Depends on the grade of the tear, what muscle and a whole bunch of other things. If you give me the muscle, your age, rough guide of how much riding you do a week and when you done it, I'll be able to give you an approximate date of how long
  20. Looked like fun, could only imagine that amount of riders in my area haha. I particularly liked how you were all queued up on that water bit and then when the guy did that pretty massive jump with a napkin on his front wheel
  21. Before stitching was common, people used to use glue (I've done it a few times as an odd DIY fixup because I hate hospitals) however I suspect that if you can't stitch it then glue might not work. Can you show a picture? Just 'cus chunk seems quite drastic, it might just need a decent covering and you should be able to ride... but that depends how deep it is really
  22. I passed the personality test with a 'near perfect match' but then failed on the "IQ test" which wasn't by any means a standard IQ test. Was 9 short, which quite frankly is disappointing on my part, although the questions literally had no relevant match to the job. Really annoyed to be honest
  23. Although I do agree with you on some aspects, I completely disagree with you on others. For example, as an atheist I see no reason why I should respect any religion, let alone their practices, especially those of the disrespectful, homophobic, anti feminist types (which is pretty much all of them, right?) Also, you say 'wearing a hoody is synonymous with people causing trouble' and quite frankly that's just stereotyping, by that logic I COULD say (I am definitely not saying btw) that all muslims are terrorists and all trials riders are thugs who disobey property and trespassing laws. I do however get your point, but I fail to see how it equates. (I repeat, I really don't think that!) I have changed my mind since your post though, quite frankly I don't care if they want to wear them - at the end of the day, as tolerant as this country is; it still creates a sense of 'equality' and for that I am somewhat grateful. 'Who am I to stop them' crossed my mind a few times and I really couldn't justify it, so yeah, let them be really
  24. Saying you should have to do something because your/any religion says so is an unbelievable, archaic practice, reminiscent of the medieval times. I can't stand religion, it's just used as another media to control people. I personally have no problem with people with faith, or if they chose to believe - it's their choice at the end of the day. But, Burka's are ridiculous purely because of the fact that there is a social injustice, I can't walk around with a hoody on without being told to take it down and that only covers my hair, and like many other people have said, you also can't walk around with a full face helmet, ski mask or scarf and hood. I think for this reason, the Burka should be banned, just like I also think that the Gurka's shouldn't be allowed to carry their knives in public, anyone else in England caught with a knife would be arrested indefinitely unless they provided a proper explanation for having done so. It's this kind of social injustice that leads to hatred, fear and segregation. If you think I am wrong fair enough, but what about if I started a religion that said I had to carry around a gun and conceal my face... there would certainly be hatred and fear then. Personally, this is why I hate religion and that's probably why I also hate the burka's. Not to mention that they are derogatory to women. EDIT: In answer to the original question, they should be banned from being worn in public places in the UK, but not so in your own homes or places of worship.
  25. Didn't get the shitting job because I was 9 short on their version of an IQ test. Fuming, not only because it wasn't a proper IQ test, but it has literally nothing to do with the job and on personality alone I'm "a near perfect match" Edit; now I'm still unemployed and will have to tell my family they're not getting anything for Xmas because I can't afford it. Fun f**king times
