Thanks boys! I've just been to TKmax and got this jacket and these pantaloons for £40 each! The gloves are just Head ones from Costco I've had for ages. They seem pretty good though. The jacket is a Billabong with 5000 mm water proof and 3000 whatever breathable. Pants are Tresspass and they are 5000 each way I think. I'm quite happy with this stuff so hopefully it will be alright! Next on the list is boots. I tried a pair of 11's on and my toes hit the ends. I've heard that the boots stretch and shrink though? What size should I got for? I'm size 11 usually. But these DC boots were far too small!

Hello wonder people of trials forum with your vast array of knowledge! I'm looking at going snowboarding in the next couple of weeks and I want to buy some decent clobber. I'm sure there are snowboarders on here that will know what to get and what to avoid. As you can imagine I'm a total noob when it comes to snowboarding and I haven't got a clue what brands, shops or stuff I need! I'm looking for the Tartybikes of snowboarding gear. Any info and tips on what I need and where to get it from would be great. I'm not looking for cheap crap, I intend on getting into snowboarding and getting good quality stuff that will keep me warm and dry. Thanks peeps!

Ah yes but salt water doesn't mix with oil! I have no clue about what salt does or does not do to oil though.

If you buy COD for anything other than the multi player you need to give your head a wobble!

You enormous Queen! That was a fun video. I especially enjoyed the sponsored links at the bottom of the video...

No one on here can give you an honest answer unless they have done it themselves. I personally wouldn't bother. It will take ages to do and you wont notice any difference at all. If you want to do it then A) Get a life and Just do it!

Second hand will definitely be the cheapest option but if you're looking at building something new yourself have a play with this http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/bike_builder.php

Space is a pretty big place you know. I don't think every little piece of debris is account for yet.

Are you made from rubber?

Get the word "Tattoo" Tattooed somewhere.

You're a funny chap. You keep agreeing with me in an argumentative way haha Trials bikes are made from Aluminium alloy because its cheaper to mass produce. Simple. I think the aphorism you're looking for is,
-
Right so, it's not that Alloy is cheaper, its that thin steel is more expensive? That's like saying "I'm not shorter than you, you're just taller than me" Hahaha. When I said Aluminium is cheaper I was trying to simplify the debate. Alloys scrap value is more than steel. Turning a lump of Aluminium alloy into a suitable trials frame is a lot cheaper than turning a lump of steel into a "suitable" trials frame.
-
The only reason most trials frames are made from Aluminium alloy is because its cheap. Case closed.

Look at TRA's new video and tell me Alu isn't good enough haha.

Pure POWER! TRA is He-man.

I can definitely recommend them! I've got them on my Koxx 1049 and they are amazing. Really good feel to the lever in my opinion. They are comfortable on my fingers and feel solid. They bedded in within about 15 minutes (just squirt some water on the rotors and ride round dragging the brakes gently). The front and rear feel as good as each other too! Usually when I've had front and rear discs the front one has been great but the back one hasn't been up to much! The only slight downside I've noticed is that the rear pads are clicking a bit. I just need to whip them off and give the backs of the pads a quick sanding to remove the paint and that should solve that though. I'd say take the plunge and you wont be disappointed!

I saw this video on Youtube which talks about a connection to a parasite which comes from cats and a depression and suicide. I thought it might be worth bringing up on here because I know a trials forum members suffer from depression. Any here's the video and let the discussion commence!

I've got flat feet too! I've never really tried innersoles though to be honest. I don't get any pain from riding these days but I find my feet cramp sometimes when I'm playing football. I've got stupidly big calf's which I assume is something to do with me being so flat footed. Anyway I use Ribo trials shoes and I find they are perfect for me. Loads of grip and no foot pain! I used to get really bad pains in the soles of my feet when I used trainers like Reebok classics. I found the soles were just too flexible and my feet would wrap around the pedals too much and it would hurt after a while. If you can afford to have a pair of shoes dedicated to riding then I'd say try the Ribos. That's just what works for me though.

That was a great vid I really enjoyed it. Looks like he really enjoys riding and that's what makes me like it. Some pretty sweet moves in there too!

Nice one Cap! Stan was up for a little ride round Bootle this week It's probably a bit far out of your way but its a decent place to ride.

Nice one Joe. I'm really enjoying watching you ride!

Aldi only had it as a special offer. They don't actually stock stuff like that as far as I know. They just seem to have deals every week on different products. One week could be gardening the next week they will have tools and so on. If you subscribe to them you get an e-mail with all the offers twice a week (Thursdays and Sundays) and there's some good bargains to be had.
