I'd be disappointed with Hope if they decided to go through with this. It's a waste of time and a daft idea. If hope want to compete in the trials market they should be making things like new free wheels, high engagement hubs, rim brakes and maybe cranks.

A very interesting watch. It seems being mixed race does have advantages. All the examples seem to be related to physical talent rather than mental ability. This is well worth a watch if you're interested in this subject.

I didn't think of it that way. I have however been on sickapedia and I can't think of any white jokes on there. I'd be happy telling a black joke to a black person if I knew they wouldn't take it the wrong way and just take it as a joke.

To be honest I don't think I have. But in that respect I don't have any black friends. This isn't through choice its just its just never happened mainly because there aren't many black people around where I live. Saying that I've met and made friends with lots of riders from all over the country but virtually none of them have been black.

On the subject of racist jokes. Why are there so many jokes about other races but virtually none for white people?

Its nice to see that this thread has finally kicked off. I agree with Phil about certain "racism" being blown up. I've seen and read things where someone has said something harmless and someone else has butted in to say you can say that its racist and made such a big deal out of it for no reason at all. To me making such a big deal out of things like that is being racist. I think its safe to say that there is a difference between all races and I don't see a problem recognising that. I think it would be ignorant to say that all races are the same there are clear physical differences that are more than just skin colour. I'm not saying its a bad thing though. I think it is safe to make certain judgements about certain groups of people. Here's my explanation for this. I'm from Liverpool and I get called a scouser. Scousers are known for lots of things one of these things is stealing. I am not a thief. I've been in shops in other parts of the country and had people follow me round to make sure I don't steal anything. I don't take offence to this because I know that a lot of scousers are scum bags. I understand its not the same as something like what black people have had to put up with but its quite similar. It's really hard for me to get what I mean down into writing I'm just not very good at it I'll keep trying though anyway. I know its not this simple but I'm going to keep this black and white. My view is that if black people were left in Africa they wouldn't change. There are no developed black societies by this I mean there has been no growth on their own. Black history goes as far back as slavery and that's pretty much it. Before that there were tribes doing the same things for 1000's of years. My question is why didn't they change? Its thought we all originally came from what is now Africa so its not like they didn't have time to grow. What I'm trying to say is that they got to a certain point and stopped. I personally think its safe to say this was because of intelligence. If you look at Asia they have history going back thousands of years too. I really don't think I've explained myself well but its the best I can do. I'm not saying everything I've said is right its just my view on it all. Going back to the Creationism V Evolution side of things for a second. For all you Creationist out there. If the first humans were Adam and Eve why do we have so many different races if not for evolution?

Yeah I would really like to keep this sensible and look at the facts and truths. I'm not trying to put people of other races down. I'm just trying to show that there is a difference and recognising it doesn't have to be a bad thing.

You've got to consider that everything we know today started from them discovering things and working things out. I don't think people from the past get enough credit for what we have today.

Is the colour that I call blue what they call blue or is it their red? I'd assume it was the same because we are made the same way but still it makes you wonder. Everything in the universe is here and our brains process that information into what we feel every day. It's pretty amazing but I wouldn't call it Religion.

Ben I find it very hard to read your posts and understand what you're talking about and where you are going with them. It seems to me that come across that you think you're 100% right and people should listen to you. Its almost as if you've got to write loads to try and get your point across and I just find myself wondering off just reading the words rather than understanding what you are talking about. I think it would be nice if you could simplify what you are trying to say and you'd probably get more attention and more people reading what you have to say rather than thinking "oh god ben's off on one again" lol.
