Good one, I have to admit that.

Good to hear that. If I hadn't gotten bored of road racing and fixie riding I wouldn't have gotten an MTB. If I hadn't gotten bored of MTB riding I wouldn't have gotten a trials bike. Dunno what I'm going to do if I get bored of trials riding.

Please don't get into downhill riding. There you are one of many, on the console you are one of a kind.
  4. Never really had any issues with my Racing Line levers. Judging by the looks of Echo TR clamps (in comparison to the Racing Line) they won't fit either.
  5. I will swap my Echo TR clamps on the rear to the front and vice versa. Will see how that works. Judging from the height of the Echo clamps it might not be enough. The easiest way would probably be to get 4 1mm washers...
  6. Yeah... So there are some other Trialtech Forks that are SL? I will check later with my Echo clamps but I'm pretty sure they have the same height.
  7. Ok. Too bad that this has to be done. I'm curious whether the other forks have the same issue. Didn't expect that from Trialtech.
  8. As you can see in the picture it doesn't really align so well as the Magura slave hits the leg of the fork. Would it be possible to put some washers under the clamps or are there any clamps that are a bit higher? It's in both sides.
  9. Ice Tech is just for heat transfer and in trials no better than the normal RT66 I would argue.

Must've been one of the last ones.

By the way. Where did you get that frame from?
  12. I did and it wasn't the adaptor that broke. It only bent and this probably was what made my caliper brake. Got a new one on warranty. Zee by niconj, auf Flickr
  13. The best pads (without having had the Trialtech) for the Saint were the Trickstuff ones. Almost no bedding in needed and they hold that much that the caliper broke before letting go of the disc.
  14. Can you post a picture? Are these the ones (I think the Tomac were from 2009 but is there any difference to 2004?):
  15. That's why for the SLX they use organic pads which are pretty good. The Saint comes with sintered ones that aren't that good or at least take a ton to bed in.
  16. Cheap compared to Nokons for example. I wouldn't care much about advice from the best brakless rider on the planet though.
  17. I don't see anyone running a pogo stick bike with a seat (yeah I know the GT frame).
  18. Odyssey Linear Slick are damn cheap as well and they do work like a treat.
  19. Same as MT7 just a different lever (materials used). You can get some Trialtech pads and Shimano SM-RT66 for either and you are all set.
  20. Funny you should say that. I had three Tocco levers and all of them started to leak in different places after having ridden only a couple of times. I always sent them back to my dealer and after a short while he took them out of his catalogue because I wasn't the only one doing so. I currently run Racing Line levers (the ones with the double seal pistons) and other than a tiny leak on the bleed bolt* on one of them, they work just fine. *Some ptfe tape helped on that.
  21. Wait for the Trialtech levers, pair them with Magura slaves and you're all set.
  22. He's right in a way and I (being German) didn't get it either. Then again, I don't find Team Toast funny.
  23. I have decreased the pressure to 2.0bar and went out riding a couple of times more. It seems to hold up well with this pressure and my weight of 90kgs. Other things: - at 2 bars it bottoms out* at pedal ups when hitting the edge of the wall (didn't happen with the Der Kaiser or TryAll Sticky lite at the same or even lower pressure) - when doing a sidehop it slips down where a Der Kaiser would hold on to the edge with just one side knob - on round rocks it has less grip than the other two tires mentioned - after having ridden 8x2-3hours no wear can be seen (not that this is a lot of riding) - it has more bounce than either of the other tires *Could it be that riding a double wall rim has to do with it?
