  1. I took isopropanol for removing the yellow Maxxis letters on my tire. Rubbed it in with a cloth for about 10 minutes and the logo slowly disappeared. Haven't tried it on a Conti tire yet.
  2. The most important question though...for how much will they sell. I can imagine them being around the Racing Line levers or even more. Probably still gonna get them.
  3. Still a good lever in my opinion. What I don't like is that the bushing seems to be irreplaceable whereas Racing Line have a screw.
  4. Really liked the video. Funny shit in it as well.
  5. Well. I talked to my dealer who went to HOPE's factory last week and he told me that the brake is almost ready to be launched. Just some minor details even though I don't know whether these details are production ones or marketing.
  6. I've never bled a brake after changing the pads. If there's no air in the system, I don't see the reason to do so even though the pads have been worn down. For some downhill riders this would mean bleeding the brake after every other week or so. As far as I know there aren't any spare parts to fix Magura brakes. HOPE has an (the only?) exceptional customer service and Magura, well, being German, I've never had any problems contacting them. If the shop sold them to you, you should give it to the shop and see whether they can fix the problem or give you new brakes. También sé que en Chile cosas funcionan diferente.
  7. Who's Jack? Send them to me, I'll mount them on my bike. Split clamp with reversed bolts would've been nice. I hope that they don't leak but Trialtech usually brings out good stuff, just like Inspired. BTW: HOPE will bring theirs out soon as well.
  8. If that's the case, you could use some of that paste to mount carbon bars.
  9. Children, job, dog to take care of. I don't really have much time and I'd rather spend the time riding than driving. It's not that I didn't want to, I just don't have the time. I don't even ride much with local riders, many of whom have been riding for +15 years.
  10. Or terrible customers. By only changing the pads there shouldn't occur any problems inside the lever. If the brake works before changing the pads, it works after it as well, without bleeding the brake; you just have to gently push the pistons back (which you have done, haven't you?). Where did you buy them from? After 5 months you might be able to get them replaced under warranty, if there's really something wrong with the brake.
  11. Yeah well, I don't get to go out much and around 400km is a bit much. This video analysis is all that'll have to do for now.
  12. Yeah... I kinda thought that. Damn, after having had a nights sleep I ordered the tire. 300gr. weigh saving on a heavy bike (will run the old Echo SL rims) isn't too bad.
  13. I have around 8% body fat. How do you know what I eat and where my weight comes from? Also, I talk about the Der Baron Projekt, which is a folding tire and not comparable to the normal Baron.
  14. Then I'm probably staying with the Conti Der Kaiser, wear rate isn't an issue and I can get the BCC version for 25€ second hand. Last one I got was ridden 5 times. The weight penalty is about 300gr. though.
  15. Interesting. I thought it was different although... XT levers are actually saint levers...
  16. That's interesting as they are two vs. one pot.
  17. Thanks. I heard that the life span of a pro race 20'' is way shorter than it's TryAll equivalent. This will probably be the case with the 26'' versions as well.
  18. Doesn't he ride his Hashtagg tires? I think he could ride without a tire and would be better than me.
  19. As above... I bought a Der Baron Projekt rode it once and had to get rid of it as it folded horribly. The TryAll Sticky Lite didn't do that and I'm wondering whether the Monty is any good? Don't want to spend the money only to find out that it's the same as the Conti.
  20. Absolutely love the video... NOT!
  21. Thanks. So you are basically saying that I should do the side hop off two wheels? I am experimenting with the bar angle at the moment. I had them rolled back a lot more and it just didn't feel too well on the rear wheel. I rolled them forward and now it seems fine. The thing with the brake lever angle is that I can't roll them more upwards as it doesn't feel right on other moves and even though it seems like it, I don't do side hops all the time. Kicking the shit out of the FFW... well, I still have to force myself not to lock the brake as soon as the rear wheel leaves the ground. I will also have to lower the front wheel a bit more on preload. I have tried landing on the wall with my rear brake open at least. It works from time to time and sometimes I even land smoothly on the wall. The same with turning the bars left upon landing. Sometimes it works, most of the times it doesn't. Normally I land on the rear wheel though. The intent I showed in the video above is when I tried setting down the front wheel first.
  22. I can't believe it's been three months already since I've tried that 1m wall. I practiced side hops pretty much every time I went out but haven't processed at all height wise. Last week I tried the wall shown in the video and failed about 100 times in a row. I always set my foot down first and couldn't keep it on the pedal. I dunno why this happened so I went back to an even lower wall and couldn't do it either without putting down my foot. So I went back to a 30cm curb and only then I could convince my foot to stay on the pedal. It took me an entire week to get over this and I went up in small steps always focussing on the technique. Today I finally got back to the height I was able to do months ago. The technique is better though which is a good thing. I also focussed on putting down the front wheel first but have to get my head around this still. It kinda works already but needs a lot of practice still.
  23. That might be the case but now it doesn't matter as you've got the MT6 and 7 on your bikes. No need for a Vee anymore.
  24. Heatsink yellow or just grind the rim and take the ADV.
