  1. Just edited my post. Funnily I used this site as well. Come out at 532 for the front and 524 for the rear.
  2. Could it be for single wall rims no less than 530? I've got the Echo TR Hub and said rim. Spokes are 253 for sure. I tried to lace it up radially and the spokes were way too long (not only 1mm). Laced the wheel differently now (2crosses) and it works perfectly. If it were 537 laced with 2 crosses the spokes should have 258mm. I think I'd notice the difference of 5mm. Edit: I just measured the rims with a flexible tape measure. For the front I end up having 530mm (532mm using this method for the rear 522mm (524 using this method) mm.
  3. Doesn't seem to be right. My spokes for the front are way too long. I took a ruler and measured it. Came out around 527/520.
  4. That's so cool. I have spokes for both of the rims still in my drawer. Thanks.
  5. Makes sense. Could have broken that tank in half with those tires.
  6. Does anyone know the ERD (front and rear) of these rims 26''.

Reasonable price I guess for a frame that'll outlast any aluminum frame by far. Are there any forks planned?

Will this also cost a fortune like the Hashtagg and Clean frames nowadays?
  9. So I've got a Liberté from Abel who closes his shop. It cost so little that I couldn't say no. I will build it up in the next couple of weeks. It won't be a very light build as I plan on running the old Echo SL double wall rims and a "Der Kaiser" on the rear. I will probably go for the black rims. It's a budget build as most of the parts I still have from previous bikes. I don't know how the wheelbase will be. Rockman states it as 1090 but I can't find out what fork they've used. With the 30mm rake of the Trialtech forks it could also be 1080mm only which I'm really hoping to get. BB is +55, -20mm to my Gabbro. Spec will be as follows: Frame: Rockman Liberté Forks: Trialtech SL V2 Stem: Trialtech 130x25° Handlebar: Trialtech SL Carbon w/ Ritchey true grips Headset: KCNC KHS-PT1767D Pedals: Wellgo MG1 (will go for Nukeproof in due time) Cranks: TryAll ISIS 170mm w/ Neon Bash BB: VP Components (It's the one Jitsie relabeled) Freewheel: Tr1Al 72clicks Chain: KMC z610HX Front wheel (Echo HUB and old Style Echo SL rim, Sapim Race spokes and Sapim Polyax nipples) Rear wheel (Trialtech M10 hub and old Style Echo SL rim, Sapim Race spokes and Sapim Polyax nipples) Tyres: Monty Pro Race V2 rear, TryAll Shift on the front Front brake: Racing Line Nano body with Trialtech Lever and Magura Slaves Rear brake: Racing Line body with Trialtech Lever and Magura Slaves Pads will probably be the Trialtech ones as I always had a very good brake performance with them on an Echo TR rim.
  10. Only the 26'' 4bolt ones and even those didn't crack regularly. It's just Trialtech that did a recall for safety reasons. Other trials companies wouldn't have done so I think. I've got a disc version of this fork and after 2 years it's still going strong. That's why I got the 4bolt version rather than another carbon fork. The weight penalty isn't an issue for me weighing 90kgs.
  11. Have you seen the fork yet? I'll get mine by the end of next week. I'll post a picture of this area.
  12. Some dealers get a Trialtech V2 fork next week as a sample. The entire batch is going to be shipped in a couple of weeks. I'll get mine next week.
  13. I really need to get one of those street trial bikes. TGS is getting boring at times.
  14. The only one I can find. Is it possible to spacer a 116mm hub to 135mm?.
  15. Not so good on the bearings I imagine. If I take them out they might not even fit anymore after having applied caustic soda.
  16. Do they exist? Or even just silver? Needs to be a 135mm fixed hub. On the front the only option seems to be the Onza hub.
  17. And I thought that a rear disc had more hold which you don't need so much on the front. Spoke flex on a mod isn't too much of a deal or is it?

If you really want to stand out, get a comp bike and make one episode. You inspired me to have a go at brakeless. I build a 26'' stock bike at the moment but will leave the brakes off for some time. Will hurt myself I guess....
  19. I know it's nothing compared to what you guys do on this forum but I'm quite happy with this. Took me ages to overcome my fear of jumping onto the front wheel. After three years of riding this is the first move that really got me anxious to get back riding. I feel like I will improve on this a LOT over the next couple of months.
  20. That may very well be and I won't argue with you as you are a bit more experienced than I am.
  21. I started out on a street bike and it was all very hard. I then got a comp bike and everything became a lot easier. I haven't been back on a street bike though.
  22. Don't make the mistake and buy a street trials bike. You can learn on those as well but the basics are easier on a "real" trials bike; the ones without seat. Other than that there's no real advice. Get a cheap bike and see whether the sport is for you.
