  1. Shouldn't your rear wheel be nearer to the edge when gapping?
  2. @jamesb You should do a lot more of those tutorials. I'd like to see an Up To Front/Gap To Front tutorial.
  3. Well... If that is so, I will go back to the Echo once they do. I haven't really cracked anything so far except an Echo TR FFW, which broke in half on a gap. p.s.: I don't do any 3m drops or whatever as I don't really know how to ride trials (have been doing it for about 2 1/2 years).
  4. Not the ISIS ones I hope*. If the Rockman is indeed a Crackman, it'll do it earlier now as I have taken away some percentage of the aluminum. *I actually haven't read anything about Hashtagg cranks cracking, only the Racing Line ones.
  5. Rawed. Took me only about 3 hours w/ disassembling and reassembling. Silver Hashtagg cranks are on their way. Gabbro¹ by niconj, auf Flickr Gabbro2 by niconj, auf Flickr
  6. Won't beat @JoshLeech though.
  7. Have gotten slightly better. What I still can't manage is the wheel swap but I'm working on it. I can do it on lower heights and it's just a matter of time...
  8. Put on the Racing Line Brake on the front as I needed the v-pads on the rear and wanted to ride w/o having to wait for the replacement pads to arrive. Well, on the front the HS33/Racing Line Nano performs better than the VEE. Might be due to the adaptors I don't know. Same TNN pads that is. Edit: After rear disc and front HS33 THIS is the new trend. Gabbro¹ by niconj, auf Flickr Gabbro2 by niconj, auf Flickr
  9. I'm not gonna submerge any part of the frame but carefully apply caustic soda with a cloth. Shouldn't be on the frame too long before I will wash it off.
  10. I'll just leave the BB and screws in the frame. Won't have to cover the HS33 threads as I don't have them.
  11. Holy crap! I wouldn't even do the drop let alone the gap. Were you injured?
  12. Thanks for the advice. I have used it before to de-anodize a stem and some other parts. Nothing bigger though.
  13. Will try this on my Rockman. Bought some Hashtagg Cranks and they will have to match the frame color. Too bad I cannot raw the forks and handlebar. Would really like a complete silver bike. There are also no silver rims available anymore except the Trialtech and these don't really give a good brake performance in my pov. Rockman Gabbro V-Brake¹ by niconj, auf Flickr
  14. I know but how do I do it? Don't have a bucket large enough to fit a frame in there.
  15. Is there a way to get off the anodizing of an entire frame?
  16. Seems to be of use for some people.
  17. Haven't ridden it yet. Had 150x30 with no stacker, now it's 158x30 with a 2mm stacker. Gives me 5mm more reach and is 8mm higher. The 8mm felt very good track standing, will have to see whether it's still good, when it comes to real riding. It is a lot stiffer than the Rockman though. Edit: Just came back from the first session with the new stem. Even though it's not that much longer, it feels better when gapping as there seems to be a lot more leverage in the 5mm more reach. Other than that I didn't feel much of a difference. It is more comfortable, that I can say.
  18. And I practiced that many side hops and different techniques that I don't get up another wall I used to find easy earlier this year. Will have to let it rest a little I guess. @CC12345678910 I did get better at gaps though.
  19. Couldn't be bothered to clean the bike before taking the picture. Mainly just upgraded the pedals and stem and had to go back to the Echo cranks as the Play don't have enough offset. Too bad my Shimano Carbon booster won't fit. Rockman Gabbro V-Brake² by niconj, auf Flickr Rockman Gabbro V-Brake¹ by niconj, auf Flickr
  20. Does the chainring rub at the chain stay?
