  1. Thanks. This sounds as if I want to get an Arcade. I went out riding today with the bars a bit forward and couldn't really do anything. It just felt so weird. I will roll them back even though I said I'd give it more time. Also, my fourplay is longer than the Arcade so rolling the bars forwards, makes it even weirder.
  2. I have a hard time understanding this. Over to one side? Clamp on the upsweep?
  3. I know it's a Console. I was more referring to a street trial bike for this kinda use.
  4. I may have had luck but I haven't had a single puncture with my contis and I have bottomed out a lot lately, focussing on pedal gaps.
  5. I tilted them forwards a bit and lifting the front was a lot harder. It felt really weird but I'll give it a try for a longer period of time.
  6. A session of skidding downhill works well.
  7. Schwalbe have 10D inner tube is 24'' as well. Weird auto correction A-V written without a hyphen turns into "have" no matter what I do.
  8. I run 45. Conti tubes should do the trick as well. Never really cared for those downhill tubes.
  9. I'm no smooth rider and weigh 90kg. I haven't had a puncture yet in 5 months riding the Contis with Schwalbe Nr.9 tubes.
  10. Examples? I suppose that Bunny Hops are harder with the bars more forward.
  11. If you don't know, it's good to follow more experienced riders' suggestions. That's what I did. Coming from a pure trials bike, everything about my Inspired felt weird so I never really questioned the bar angle. I thought that this was the best angel as tested by many.
  12. 145cm... standard? That's cool.
  13. How do you run your bars? I wouldn't say that I'm a fan boy. I remember asking @Dman how they were supposed to be run and he told me so. Never really thought about it though.
  14. Isn't this the way they are supposed to be ridden on a street setup?
  15. I know but I really like steel frames.
  16. Thanks. I don't do any pedal ups, only bunny hops. Pedal gaps is a different matter though. I like them a lot. As for the Silex... I'll have to wait for @Paperclip to try it out.
  17. That's what it says on their homepage for the complete bike. The framset is stated with 352mm chainstays. It does seem a little short, probably a typo. Should be 362mm.
  18. I know that it's down to personal preference but some pointers you might still have. I've got some money to spare and want to buy a new frameset. How does the Arcade compare to my 2012 4play? Geometry (4play) Wheelbase: 1020mm Chainstay: 375mm BB Height: +25mm Head Angle: 73˚ Geometry (Arcade) Wheelbase: 1000mm Chainstay: 364mm BB Height: +25mm Head Angle: 74,5˚ My 4play bunny hops rather well I think but I don't have any comparison as I haven't ridden any modern street trial geometry yet. What I currently focus on is spinning and front wheel moves and bunny hops (of course). I know that riding wise, I haven't reached the limits of my current bike yet, nor will I ever do but I would like a change. Still, I may profit some of a new frameset. And to make things even more difficult, I really like the new TMS Silex: Geometry (Arcade) Wheelbase: 998mm Chainstay: 350mm BB Height: +22mm Head Angle: 74,5˚
  19. I just found this deal on mantel.com I've got mine for the same price not so long ago. Shipping is very quick and the price is awesome. It's only this weekend though so you need to hurry up. Magura MT5 Next for £59.00

    Magura MT's

True. They have the short lever though. I'd go for MT5 front and rear when looking at this weekend deal.

    Magura MT's

There's no difference. It's an MT6 for the front and an MT7 for the rear. As @ben_travis suggested, I'd buy two MT6 instead, or even the MT4 if money is short. You can get Trialtech pads for both now so the braking power should be even better than with stock pads. I was gonna write that when riders like Ben are satisfied with an MT6, amateurs like us should be so too but then again, he rides really smooth and may not need as much power as we do, when not landing perfectly etc. But I am pretty certain that the difference between the MT6 and the MT7 is only marginal. Having ridden the MT5/6 I'd still go looking for a new Shimano Saint 810. The pad clearance can be an issue once your rotor is slightly untrue. I had a rubbing SLX rotor on my Saints which was still ridable but wasn't with the MT5.
  22. I was on the second pair and these lasted 2 weeks before falling apart. The fist ones lasted longer.
  23. Got the XXL on offer and cut them to the size I needed them. Works alright.
  24. Can't wait for Damon Watson to test these.
