  1. As soon as I switched from a street trials bike (with which I learned pretty much all the basics) to a pogo stick, I forgot about the bunny hop and haven't done it since. Unfortunately, I don't have a vid of myself struggling with some height but will record it the next time I ride.
  2. Would you be so kind as to look at one of my pedal ups? I get up slightly higher now (maybe 10cm) but have reached a point where I don't see any improvement anymore and I am sure that it has to do with my technique rather than my strength. I just don't know what I'm doing wrong at the moment.
  3. Someone else wrote about 24'' sl rims coming out last month or was it in June? Haven't seen any yet.
  4. Is that part of the music or why do your brakes sound like rim brakes?
  5. You may just have matured. I don't think that trials has anything to do with anger management.
  6. I was actually being serious because I thought (now I know better) that a bunny hop wasn't needed in trials competitions. I've just started trials a year ago and haven't seen or ever been to a trials comp. That's why I thought that there's never enough space to do a proper bunny hop.
  7. Why the f**k did I watch the first video?!
  8. So after 6 (six!!!) years of doing nothing trials related you're that good?
  9. Ok I didn't know that there are comps that make use of a bunny hop as well. I thought it was always on limited space. Thanks. btw.: I can't bunny hop for shit and pedal up neither. Beat you two guys then...
  10. I know you do. Let me rephrase my question then... Is a bunny hop really necessary for pure trials? And talking about positive transfer; what other techniques could benefit from a good bunny hop technique?
  11. Yeah but is it really necessary for trials?
  12. Hm... I do pedal ups onto 5 1/2 pallets (which is nothing I know) but I highly doubt that I can do a bunny hop onto 3.
  13. Is that a star nut in those broken forks above? If so, shouldn't it be an expander or sth. the like?
  14. Just wondering. Many people write that they are struggeling with the bunny hop. Since I've started with trials I have almost forgotten about that technique I only know from MTB riding. I thought that in trials you only need the Pedal Up and stuff as you almost never have enough run up distance to do a propper bunny hop. What do you think?
  15. So this video is six years old or is it what you are doing now AFTER six years of doing nuttin?
  16. Holy f**k. What would you be doing w/o those six years of abstinence?
  17. Thanks! When I first started practicing this technique (last week) I did a small pedal kick forwards, then after having landed lowered the front wheel just in front of a 40cm curb and then did another pedal kick and jumped up/forward onto the curb. After having landed on the front wheel I tried to get the rear wheel up high enough to do some hops on the front wheel... If what you're saying is the way to learn up to fronts I guess I still have to learn other things in order to do that.
  18. Isn't that a bit too much if you're only beginning to practice this technique? I can barely do a front wheel tap to 35'' (landing on the rear wheel).
  19. I don't really think it makes much of a difference. A weight difference of 200gr. (which is a LOT for forks) doesn't suddenly make you jump higher.
  20. How high would that be? Also would you start doing up to fronts from a trackstand or a two pedal kicks for better momentum? I find the first really hard to do, the second is easier but jumping to land on the front wheel is kinda f**ked up as you said.
  21. I doubt it. Just order one of these: click.
  22. When putting together the complete video you're talking about in the vimeo description, please let it be like this one. It doesn't have to be overly edited with slomos and stuff. Let it be like this one just longer. I'm actually sic of all those nice landscape-meaningful music-footjam tailwip-slomo videos....
  23. Needed a new booster and customized my orange Echo Urban to match the color of the frame. Echo Urban Bashring by niconj, on Flickr
