Well, the Echo TR tensioner doesn't fit either. The pulley is too far inside and there's now way to adjust it. It's almost 1cm off to the left.

Nope. I've got one on my 24'' right now and find it alright. Then again I'm not a very experienced trials rider... I have a new Highroller Super Tacky and Swampthing Supertacky though. Just in case I get better and need better ones.

Yes. I do have an Echo TR Hub. Where do I get one of these? And how would I mount it on my horizontal dropouts. I would also get rid of my snailcam won't I. Right now the hub is modified to fit the snail cam inside the frame. It is alloy as well isn't it?

They are aluminum and I can't find any steel ones. I have the Echo Clamps and with the wheel all the way in the dropouts there's at least 3mm overlap. I don't think that any clamps give that much more adjustment. I have one option though. I will take out the snail cam bolt and use a grub screw instead. That might give me enough space to use the 74Kingz as the snail cam bolts are in its way now. Next step is to become a basher and wreck the frame to justify buying a new one.

There is but moving the wheel further in would leave the magura pads standing over the rim quite a bit. They already do in their highest position with the wheel all the way in the dropouts.

Well, I don't have a picture right now as it works with the spoke tensioner. But as you can see in the picture above, the chain is fairly long and you can imagine how far I can pull the wheel w/o the spoke tensioner. For 18/15 it was like this with a new chain: Because 2 von niconj auf Flickr Now while it was alright with the hope bolt (didn't have to use the snail cams) it isn't with the Echo hub where the M6 doesn't provide enough clamping force to hold the hub in place even with serrated washers. With the Trialtech steel snail cams it works but they are too small if I want to use a 15T w/o a halflink as it is too far out for the snail cam to reach the cam bolt.

It is not a perfect fit. Not for 18/14 nor 18/15 even though 18/15 is the slightly better option. With 18/14 I can almost take the wheel out with the chain still on the cogs.

That's what I did and it worked fine for 4 months. Then the halflink snapped and I kinda lost confidence in using them.

18/14 with a half link. Since this snapped a couple days ago, I'm reluctant to use a half link again.

I'll try 18/15 again then even though I don't really like the ratio.

Well... I've tried a stretched chain and it is still too short for 18/14. As there's a 5mm gap between the links when I try to join the chain the chain would have to stretch 5mm which it doesn't I think. At 18/15 the chain would have to stretch even more or am I mistaken?

They are 355 from the middle of the bottom bracket to the front end of the dropout. For 18/14 I'd need 2.5mm less but that would result in the Magura pads being too low. A stretched chain and 18/15 would put the wheel even further out and I don't think that a chain stretches 5mm for it to fit with 18/14 either. I would really like to know for what gear ratio this frame was designed for as neither one fits w/o a tensioner. 18/13 should fit but again, with the wheel all the way in the dropouts the Magura pads stand over the rim quite a bit. I was thinking of buying a Trialtech SL booster but am not sure if it's worth the extra cash. Is it any stiffer than the Trialtech Sport one? I don't care about the weight.

I was wondering... if the frame doesn't work with neither gear ratios, could this be a warranty issue? I don't think that trials frames are designed to be used with half links as they aren't really reliable. Funny thing is that their website is down.

Doesn't work either. It's right in the middle of it. Kinda sucks but I think the tensioner wasn't made for frames that supposedly work with snail cams and the right gear ratio. Unfortunately, neither 18/14 nor 18/15 works w/o a half link. Stupid Because frame. Should've bought the Echo one!

Ok. The 74kings has arrived today but it doesn't fit! Bloody hell!!! The snail cam bolt is in its way and mounting the snail cam on the outside doesn't work either as the wheel would move. Is there another way to get the chain tightened w/o using a half link or a spoke as a tensioner? I have a spoke mounted right now and it seems to work but it's kinda discomforting to be honest. I may use a half link again and my new Park Tool CT3.2 which is better quality than my old one.

It's one of the few Trials specific products that isn't actually shite.... oh and made in Germany.

No thanks. It's only for a couple of weeks until the 74Kings tensioner arrives. I just realized that I don't even have to drill a hole into my snail cam as it is a Trialtech steel one with many holes in it. Now I just need to get hold of a road spoke. The only one I have here is a Sapim X-Ray and I don't think it'll work.
