  1. I disagree. I had new BB7s and they did the same the first time I rode them. Then I removed the pads and saw that they were very dirty. But still, even after cleaning them they made horrible noise and from what I can tell, BB7s are never quiet using the stock pads. I recommend Avid organic pads that come with the BB7 RSL. They are cheap, quiet even in wet conditions and they break very well. Why would you have to buy new rotors when the pads are contaminated? You can clean the rotors with Acetone e voila.
  2. I've never noticed any higher resistance (ON the bike) when back pedaling and I always tighten the chain as much as I can.
  3. I'd go for the Zees. Breaking power is the same as the Saint's as the calipers are 1:1.
  4. No they don't! Family Biker is different. I was just wondering what this thread has to do on a trial forum.
  5. I rode mine for the first time today and am impressed. I hit my shin once and didn't feel a thing. They don't slip either.
  6. Well, the cuts I got from slipping will take a long time to be forgotten. So far I'll be using the shin guards. BTW, I use Five Ten Shoes and some pedals whose name I've forgotten. They have a lot of 5mm pins.
  7. Just got those guards in the mail. Took almost 2 weeks from GB to GER... They fit even though the upper velcro is a little short, that is, it's a tight fit. I guess XL would've been better but then again they will widen a little I'm sure.
  8. I don't think that the ones I bought will save my knee for they end well below it I guess. Here's the reason why I bought some. See the upper cut? If it's only a shin guard, it wont help on cuts like these but I don't care. That was the one I barely noticed. The one on my shin was a hell of a pain though. Bloody Sunday von niconj auf Flickr And here's the video how it happened. I doesn't look like a big hit. http://beginners-trial.blogspot.de/ Nico.
  9. Thanks... My calves have 41cm so L should be alright. I will order these in L then.
  10. They do have riot shin guards but I can't find anything on sizing on their homepage which is kinda stupid!
  11. Hello, since I hurt myself pretty badly today (see my blog) I am considering shin guards but don't know which ones are good. What would you guys recommend? The max. width of my calves is 41cm. Thanks, Nico.
  12. And this will work properly even at -10°C and doesn't do harm to the brake? Nico.
  13. I just recently bought Clarks for my BB7 and they are better than the sintered ones the brake came with but that doesn't say much. I would recommend the organic pads from Avid. They are the best pads I've used on this brake. They are certainly better than the KoolStop or Trickstuff pads for the BB7 (which uses the same pads as your Juicy). btw: If you're still using your Avid rotor, get another one! Avid rotors suck big time. Nico.
  14. Looks like the Brits not only have a different sense of humor but also of entertainment. I found the idea awesome and with a little money you could make it a stellar video. Nico.
  15. Had to turn it off. Camera moving too much. Made me dizzy. Nico.
  16. No problem mate. Oh and I really liked the vid. I wish I could do half of this stuff... Nico.
  17. Here you go: Vimeo Video -> Original Video Just hit quote on my post and you know how to do it. Nico. But normally you just copy and paste the video url and it works. Dunno why it didn't in your post.
  18. It's not an insult. It's a matter of fact. I've lived long enough in Spain to darme cuenta, and you gave the perfect justification for my statement.
  19. I've just started two weeks ago so I asked myself the same question... Have a look at youtube channel. They have amongst other videos, 12 tutorials. Go from the first and try to imitate what they show. Nico. p.s.: Oh... and start every video at around 22sec.
  20. But then again, your not British... I'm not trying to start an argument here but it is the first time that I hear that the Brits may have a different sense of humor than others do. I just don't think it's funny and as I was skipping through the video in hope of some cool motocross action, I was thoroughly disappointed as well. Nico.
  21. Are you serious? I watched 3 minutes and then had to turn it off. Not funny at all.
  22. Es justo como trabajan los españoles. Llamas a un jardinero, viene el jardinero, llamas al fontanero, viene el jardinero de nuevo... Nico.
  23. Well if that's true, then could somebody at least explain to me what's supposed to be funny? Is it the Chinese accent?
