i brought the skye pro framekit and built mine to my own spec because there are parts on the stock skye pro that i would have changed, but didnt cost a lot more to do that either. (the avid brakes are weird, not enough power and they loose all power whenthe levers are near horizontal angles and upside down which is what i found out myself, but i know of some riders who use them on the front but i dont really know why the lever blades feel nice but thats about it. also once on a ride my avid lost all power randomly and there wasnt an explanation for it) but the stock fourplay team has hope brakes which are a lot more powerful and reliable. bearing in mind the skye pro rides lovely, and has bolt-through axles which make it feel a lot more solid and stiff, if your over 5.10 foot it'll feel a bit "cramped" but im 5.7 which is the only reason i got a skye and not a fourplay or an arcade. with regards to the fourplay?... for me, they feel a bit "long" which is probably ONLY to do with my height but unless i get a bit taller i wont know for sure. that doesnt make them bad bikes! just my opinion EDIT: you could change the brakes on the skye pro, its just buying a complete bike then paying more to change parts is annoying. also the bars are a bit weird... again thats probably my view. others will have their says so im just putting my views across so hope that helps a bit

i know, but it'll be the same for the back wheel too surely... -

try a manual with a bit of speed, pull the front brake. it'll be exactly the same on the back. also i reckon keeping the back brake on makes it worse, because you cant stroke backwards if you need to -
I'll be doing hooks on this thing... one last question that might not matter... obviously because its a "smaller" inspired even though i suit it perfectly, (compared to a fourplay or arcade) would that make it any easier or harder? other than that i think ive got the idea of it now. thanks again everyone for the help, means a lot!

JJ Leigh replied to Herbertlemon102's topic in Trials Chat
you've got the idea spot on! haha x i think everyone rides without pulling the back brake, and if they do its right at the last moment before the bike comes to a stop or your using the back brake for a reason -

i let my back wheel keep spinning + dont touch the brake. you get a tiny bit more giroscopics and makes the back of the bike a bit calmer. i might be explaining it wrong but basically you know when you gap, you pull the brake at the last second because otherwise it feels like the bike looses movement? its like that exept with up to fronts too well i think anyway, i dunno how to explain it really and what i said might be wrong or im missing something but hey its better than nothing its like wheelies. when the front wheel is spinning its easier to control. kinda like that but with the back wheel... again i might not be making sense -
you must be able to see proof of what youve done wrong to explain it before you go to court right? i dunno if it is but it seems like illegal blackmail saying the only way you can see is by going to court... am i right? im young ish + dunno much about law but even from me that seems like bollocks man!
